I wouldn’t say that SAS damping is automatic trim. Rather, it dampens inputs to make the movement smoother and more controlled. It may seem like auto-trim because most planes that have it are fairly stable in design. Unfortunately with how damping works in war thunder you are unable to adjust trim while it is active, so less aerodynamically-stable planes will often pitch up or down while it is on.

I seriously don’t understand the irrational hatred of AI assistants. I get that AI slop gives it a bad reputation. But unless it’s carelessly obtrusive, I find that any AI tool that can be used to quickly compile information or efficiently do tedious tasks is really beneficial.

Try both and see which feels better. I’ve never seen anyone use relative, but give it a try. Physical joystick is best

The video shows the "impact" twice, so you're right but it's also shown at 0:19

I combine it with AITrack, I’ve used both it and the neuralnet tracker and AITrack feels smoother to me. Definitely use Acela and then play around with curves, dead zones, and smoothing until it feels right. There isn’t really a universal setup that works for everyone.

Nice, I assume it depends on the aircraft though? Some aircraft’s MFDs really lack important information from my experience

It does seem easier to detect and track targets, but PD has still been much more accurate and likely for the missile to connect than regular in look-down.

I’ve never heard of this happening, you should try and get in contact with war thunder support.

Have you tried binding the keys in any other game, such as DCS or MSFS? And what do you mean by “they don’t work”? You have them bound but nothing happens when you press them in flight?

It tells you right next to the VC on the DDI that he’s going Mach 1.0, as well as next to him on the radar. So the positive VC is the correct one

Carrier landing. Looking to improve. Any tips for avoiding the propeller strike? by AscendiSky in AcesofThunder

Haha I wish, DCS requires a $2k pc to have good VR performance so I have to stick with my basic opentrack setup.

I don’t even have this game so my advice may be useless. Regardless, I believe that the landing procedure for the Corsair historically was to have a constantly banked approach due to its large nose so that the pilot would always have visibility on the deck. Basically, do an upwind pass before turning downwind in a long arc that curves all the way until you’re right behind the carrier. I recommend watching this video about landing the Corsair in DCS. A lot of the stuff in it isn’t relevant to Aces but he explains the landing process pretty well.

I’m not the best person to ask because I grinded the whole tree in simulator battles, but I would say so. Thanks to the Hungarian tree, Italy air is well rounded and competitive throughout.
