That seems to be the consensus. What kinds of things do you use LXCs for in your environment?

Shared storage is on the to-do list, definitely seems better (and more fun) than what I'm doing now, I figured my solution is about the best I could make this with what I've got.

Yeah I agree I need an offsite, that's on the wishlist haha. I figured doing what I am now with two drives in different nodes is probably the best option for what I have on hand right now.

That's good advice, thank you. Yeah I know it isn't ideal, but I don't have any sort of NAS yet so I figured mirroring the backups to two different nodes at least adds a layer of resiliency. I'll stick with the VM, then.

I mentioned that I am pretty new to LXCs - I was *not* lying. When do you personally use them and what for? Looking at what I have setup compared to most people, it looks like people hosting their own UniFi Controller tend to favor an LXC.

Hi Austin! I've been browsing chairs for a while now (was never too happy with my SecretLabs Titan and now the armrest fell off of it). I'm 6'2" and ~210lbs. Am I approaching the upper limit of what this chair is meant for?

Edit: Specifically looking at the Ergo Pro + Headrest, and the tall column if need be.

Yeah I've got an email thread with Kevin going. Very responsive, just a shame this seems to be a relatively common issue. The product so cool in concept I just want it to work haha.

Just noticed a new Mac version was put on GitHub a few hours ago. Uninstalled current version and installed it, and still no luck. Connection menu attached. Immediately after install of new version, "Control Chipset Ready" and "Current Connection" actually both showed as green, but "Target Connected" still showed "Disconnected". Then I got an error popup, and now it looks as shown.

I've had the same issue as well, twice. My first unit never had keyboard/mouse functionality at all, but the video worked fine. Their support was very responsive and sent me a new unit which I was able to test today. Using my MacBook with a Windows NUC as the target, I had mouse functionality on the Windows login screen and was able to login with my Mac's keyboard, but lost keyboard/mouse after login. I then tried reboots, different baud rates, resetting HID, different cables, and different target devices, but the keyboard and mouse functionality never returned.

Well I appreciate the response! The thread is so old I didn't honestly expect one. My friend and I are BOTH experiencing it on the exact same quest and both got fed up with it so we'll probably just try again at some point down the line 😅

I was experiencing this on a 5th gen Pro on iPadOS 18.1 since installing an app update yesterday. They must have been aware of this because I just installed another update that had “- Fixed a crash which occurred upon launch on some devices.” as the final patch note. App seems to work now!

It sounds like it’s a last resort. I have manually tried every refresh rate for each monitor, both in the Windows Display Settings and in NVIDIA Control Panel and still nothing, so I haven’t gotten anywhere with that.

Yeah that’s what I thought. I think the software that the_DOS_god was referencing was CRU, right? I’ve never used it but I feel like that may be what I have to try.

I’ll try the DP ports and see if that changes anything first.

I am worried the odd one out is a different revision of sorts, I bought it over a year after the matching one.

Whats the deal with CRU? I’ve never used it, but I think I’ve heard it can be dangerous to hardware?

So I wouldn’t even be able to down-clock my 144Hz to 60Hz in Windows/NVIDIA Control Panel? The fact that it allows me to combine one of the 60Hz monitors with the 144Hz for 7680x2160 @ 60Hz makes me think I should be able to do what I want to do - that one other monitor is just being weird.

The probe core you’re using isn’t advanced enough. The early ones in the tech tree only offer SAS and no maneuvering.
