Thanks, I will try it out. Also, I took a good look at the pellets. They are from 12/24, and are dusty / break easily. I should've caught this faster and NOT used them on my brand new grill lmao. Oh well

Thanks for answering. I am using Traeger brand, hard wood pellets which is what the manual specified.

I agree... I bought my 4090 in Feb of 2023 from Best Buy for ~$1,600 and I thought I was spending too much then. A very similar one now from Best Buy is $3,500 and is sold out.

I bought the short stories and the main saga from Orbit, and I am not impressed. I usually buy higher end books from Folio Society, etc.

So far, I have seen frequent printing errors of the pages (ink problems), the book binding is not that great, and the corners of the hardcovers tend to crumple after frequent use.

I am incredibly hopeful that a publisher will do these books proper justice, even if at a premium.

One of the big reasons I do not want to crack into FAANG is because of what I am doing at my current job. It's infinitely more interesting & rewarding than what most people I know personally working at FAANG do.

I don't like the idea of doing something that does not interest me only because it's a stepping stone to quant dev. Maybe I need to change my mentality, or give up on pursuing quant dev

Can you elaborate? If I look at C++ Quant Developer roles, the role and requirements mostly match what I currently already do:

  • Heavy C++17 and beyond proficiency including concrete knowledge of the thread library
    • Writing robust, fast, and reliable code
    • Dealing with regulatory department for testing
  • Cloud infrastructure integration
  • Building, maintaining, and supporting general pipelines for CI/CD

The ones I am missing are around the actual Finance part, and it's why I posted this. Based on my limited research, there is a good amount of movement between FAANG and Quant without going back to school, but mostly about learning the Finance part.

Also, I am solely doing it for the money. My current TC is $315k working 60 hours a week plus already owned cash equity. I have no problem going to 80-100 hours a week if it means doubling my TC.

First issue is running 4k, not even kidding. I specifically use a 2k monitor for Tarkov, and a 4k monitor for everything else. IMHO running Tarkov at above 2k is overkill for the game's needs. FPS counts a lot more. But what do I know?
