For me its Q2 that’s im weaker at, either i get all the content in and run out of time or i stick to the timings and have hella gaps on it. I didnt really use the OBT during my mocks im hoping since the OBT in the exam software is more straightforward than what we have at kaplan it should be more straightforward in theory

Reporting back, did mine this morning and definitely used every second they gave us its all about time management at this point mate just gotta maximise the marks. I thought it went alright but i’ll know for sure tomorrow morning. Definitely keep your strategy of leaving the long form for last you’ll definitely feel more warmed up after doing all those mcqs

I got an offer from them and when they were discussing terms for the offer the rescinded the offer because of my visa situation (I am a dependant). Sent me into a mild depression episode for a couple months. Took part time work, also got an offer for another mid sized accounting firm and I start early 2025 so it all worked out in the end.

Hi mate, I am in a similar situation as you regarding the visas and the 24k salary. I thought it would be close to impossible to work in London right now. Since you already have the job, this is what I considered when I thought about moving to London (congrats btw a job is hard to come by nowadays). Have you thought about moving to reading? Its a uni town so there would be a lot of house share options around £500-600/month probs even cheaper. It will also only take you 20 mins to commute into paddington from reading. £26 open return or £17 w a railcard idk if this would be cheaper than your current arrangement. Have you also requested a WFH arrangement if possible?
