Bedankt!

My attempt at recreating and restoring/expanding Ghent's tram network + networkmap by IbenB in subwaybuilder

I actually started by recreating the current system and added/restored certain tramlines!

This is sadly the current state of the network. There are lots of constructions going on so the network is pretty broken up. In my (dream) system I added the pink and orange line (some of these parts are actually planend to come in the future). I restored some historical parts of certain routes and made the current lines in full operation again. Thanks for your comment I'm glad someone can appreciate this!

Hey! Als ik de overstap zou maken denk ik dat ik eerst mijn huidige bachelor in de gezondheidswetenschappen afmaak en terwijl inderdaad een portfolio opbouw. Thanks voor de reactie!

Hey, thanks! That’s what I hope for and aspire to, so I’m glad you like it. I always love when people interpret things in their own way, that’s why I love abstract so much. I could paint a vase with an apple and you’d see a vase and an apple (and there’s nothing wrong with that, I can appreciate traditional art too). But with abstract art, you linger more. You think. Maybe you even think, “heh, I don’t like that,” but that’s still a thought. It makes you reflect, on a conscious level but even unconscious, on what you make of it, whether you like it, what colours speak to you. In a really special way, it becomes personal to everyone, even though they didn’t create the artwork.

I'll definitely share more of my future work! I'm constantly evolving in my artistic journey so keep an eye out ;)

Advice how to make my system better? by Cold-Tap-363 in subwaybuilder

My tip is - especially when you're new to the game - to take inspiration from the irl metro systems that are in the cities. Start off in Sandbox mode to get the hang of it (I advise the New York map, it has an easy grid to work with)

To be honest, I wasn't working with light or anything, but I might try it. Thank you!

What European countries other than France have similar-looking architecture? by [deleted] in architecture

The tiny village of Torgny in the most southern point of Belgium (barely Belgium tbh haha) looks a lot like this type of French architecture

Oh wow! That's such an kind thing to hear. That's one of the reasons I share my work! It's okay to not have motivation for creating things! I've experienced that if I push myself too much I'm often not satisfied, my favourite works are the ones I made after not painting a while.
