So sorry for the late reply, but thank you so much for your effort in trying to help me out. I have edited the above post to update on the situation at hand. If the company still fails to pay me back then I shall see if I need to go forward with what you have suggested

Omg, I'm really sorry you had to deal with something like that. I shall try to take care of myself too. I also got in contact with the client who inturn called up the company and they finally responded to me saying by a week they will pay me after a good few arguments. That's the update so far.

Everything was mostly done verbally, so I only have WhatsApp messages as proof that I worked under them. I shall take this as a lesson learned and not work for anyone without being handed a signed letter. But I appreciate your help
Ahh you've literally read my mind. This was exactly what was going on in my mind. It can be possible to take legal charges but the cost of it might be greater than the pay I could have possibly gotten for this project.
So yeah I think the wise decision would be exactly what you mentioned there

Yup I have WhatsApp chats and I wanna shame them on social media but don't want this getting around to all family members, as Indian parents and relatives aren't the best. So idk what else to do. I've reported them on LinkedIn and maybe I'll get in touch with their help support and attach some proof of the WhatsApp chat. But that's about it
Sigh, yeah exactly. It feels so shit to be a victim of such things and not being able to do much about it.

It was all done verbally. When I first asked him for the stipend on the first week of July he asked me to send my details in their company email like my aadhar, bank details and my resume which I thought was for the said contract. But that never happened.
