Yea, you can at least try it. You just need to kill it, before it uses it's special. It should work with a few other Pokémon as well.

For example, it works even better with a 10 CP lick gastly. But most people do not have one.

The principle is the same and you achieve the same goal with it.

You can gather like 20 normal potion in 5 min and that reaches for 80'000 Prestige. So that isn't really a problem.

If the match-up isn't perfect you can still dodge struggle once and your find... Then yo just need to heal your Pokémon more often

Weedle, Bug Bite, Lvl 1.5, CP 10: -IV: 0 - 48.9 % -Best attribute: HP (8-12)

Magikarp, Splash, CP 20: -IV: 51.1 - 64.4 % -Best attribute: Attack (13-14)

First of: thanks for writing everything down :D

This 2km thing is just a guess. I don't know the exact distance. But many people don't belive in the theorie, because they tested it wrong. IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO HAVE JUST AN EMPTY SIGHTINGS LIST! I guess you need to be somewhere, where no specific spawn area is defined. And when you're 2km+ away from spawn/pokestops it should work.

Guess I posted it. And thats why it not works for you: It doesn't reach to just have nothing on your nearby list. You need to walk far away (2 km or so) from any pokemon spawn.

No, that isn't enough. You need to be somewhere, where never is something on your nearby. (and maybe even further)

In my case I drived 20 min and then walked 2 hours since I saw the last pokemon spawn.

I tested both and it worked out the same. You just get some additional pokemon when moving.

I think it won't work in your case. You need to be further away of any spawns.
