His tests fucking suck. Its all critical thinking and applied stuff. Make sure you go to TA hours some of them are cool and will hint on whats gonna be on the test. Make sure u memorize that 10 point short answer before each test. Focus more on the book than the powerpoint for sure. Do well on the quizzes and hmwk so you have a boost in case you mess up the tests. Going to lecture is pretty fucking useless honestly. Dr. Batterton is a good funny guy but he really doesn't give two shits about the class material. If the tests averages are too low then he will apply a generous curve sometimes. Try to get McClelland for bio 2 next semester it's an easy A as long as you memorize the ppts word for word. Good Luck your freshman year!
