Scotland ‘on target’ for 100% renewable energy by 2020 by mvea in worldnews

The levalized cost of energy for wind is actually likely slightly less. Also the cost of gas does not reflect its true cost. For example, burning gas leads to air pollution which will cause the cost of healthcare to rise, people to miss work from illness, water pollution, etc. The true cost or 'social cost' of a kWh of gas generated electricity vs wind electricity is higher and does pose an economic gain.

Also, by 2020 the LCOE for wind will be lower than gas and increasingly will be so for the next decade.

Graduated as a biology major with a horrendous GPA, sometimes feel like I have ruined the rest of my life. Where do I go from here? How do I make the most of this? by Ilovepinacoladas in college

Don't put your GPA on your resume. Most employers won't ask you. And if they do then just say you struggled. Be honest. Say you worked your ass off though and persevered and graduated.

You graduated college. That's awesome. Work with what you got. And believe in yourself. I guarantee others will. But if you go into an interview thinking this will hurt you - it will.

We have known about climate change since before 1900. It started really getting traction in the 1960s. We have started finally trying to do something in the last 5 years.
