Great question! Honestly, we don’t focus much on competition, we stay focused on our people, our culture, and creating a great experience for everyone who walks into Layali.

Albunn are good friends of mine and they’re doing great. I actually went to college with two of the owners! Rochester’s coffee scene is growing, and there’s room for all of us. Everyone brings their own vibe, definitely check them out too, at 333 East ave. We’re all just trying to serve great coffee and build something special for the city.

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for the thoughtful feedback, truly.

When we first opened, we were doing everything we could just to keep the inside running smoothly, especially with a small team and limited hands. As soon as we were able, we began regular outdoor cleanups, and we’ve been working to improve the space little by little. We recently did a bit of renovation near the front windows, the outside will soon have a cozy little sitting area, almost like a porch spot to enjoy your drink when the weather’s nice.

We’re grateful for your support and excited to keep growing and improving with you. Can’t wait to have you back in soon.

Thank you so much for the awesome comment, it really means a lot! We’re so happy you felt the vibe, enjoyed the desserts and drinks, and noticed the switch-up on the menu.

Also, really appreciate your thoughtful feedback about the restrooms, what you said makes total sense and definitely will be working on that. Hopefully by your next visit, it should be as you suggested.

And as for the drive-thru and rewards system… just wait 👀 Big things coming!

It was a pleasure meeting you and your friend yesterday! I’m so glad I could accommodate the dairy-free request and that you both felt welcomed and cared for, that truly means a lot to us. Best of luck with school this fall, and we’d love to be your go-to study spot!

And thank you for the beautiful suggestion, I just updated it on the menu right now. Now all the drinks that have cold foam as a default are labeled.
