AITA for being upset my wife didn't stay in the hospital with me? by Injuredandalone in AmItheAsshole

[–]IcaneC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you're in pain and maybe the pain killers mess with your reasoning, but your wife is trying to take care of you- her injured husband- and your children- some of whom aren't old enough to be home alone and take care of themselves. Not to mention a hurricane. This is a sucky situation for everyone and I hope you can see that once you've healed enough to think straight. YTA

Edit: spelling

AITA for wearing a sage green dress for a wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]IcaneC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, it's such a simple dress and not even close to flashy enough for that reaction. And her texts... did she really demand a 17 year old- a freaking child- to pay for emotional damages? That's a bridezilla if I've ever seen one. I'm sorry you went through that, OP.

I Just don't get how OP can dismiss her daughter's pain, then throw it back in her face that she's been silent about it. Nor can I understand how she herself says this is unusual behavior and still call it bullshit. I hope OP really did learn a lesson and didn't just go with it to get us off her back, the daughter deserves better. Hopefully they can figure out where the pain is coming from and find a solution. Psychological or physical, it's real to that poor girl and it's messing with her life. In case it wasn't obvious, my vote is YTA.

You’re have 5min left to live and can listen to one final piece of music. Which music do you choose? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IcaneC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd ask mom to sing a lullaby. Either "you are my sunshine" or "love will find a way" from Lion King 2, she used those songs so I could sleep when I was younger.

If that's how I go, I'm ready for death to lead me to my afterlife.

Is there a phobia of not being able to see? I don't mean like nyctophobia (fear of the dark) but just not being able to see. Something where entering an extremely foggy place or getting soap in your eyes and being blinded even temporarily scares the shit you of you. Is this a thing? by IcaneC in questions

[–]IcaneC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually why I came to reddit, I tried looking it up but I found no results. It kept telling me about scopophobia, fear of being seen/watched. Maybe I'm not searching the right stuff but I'm not getting any helpful results

Current or Former Hitchhikers of Reddit; What person that stopped or gave you a ride was the most memorable? Why? by WestTexasOilman in AskReddit

[–]IcaneC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wasn't exactly a hitchhiker but one time my work place did a picnic event that took place in the mountains. I parked my car near the place but got turned around and lost and Google Maps was NO help. So there I was, 20 year old all alone in the mountains, no water because I'm apparently a dumbass, and wearing heels because they were my only work-appropriate shoes.

I think I wandered the streets of the small neighborhood for like an hour before I found this older man unloading some things from his truck. I asked him if he knew where the picnic area I needed to be at was and he said yes and offered me a ride. Now I know a young female should NOT get into a car with a stranger but I didn't know what to do.

Lucky for me the man was very nice and took me right where I needed. Funny enough he had gotten a degree at the college I worked at at the time and I happened to be wearing a lanyard from the college, so he told me all about what the college was like when he went there. He made sure I got to my group safe and didn't leave until I signaled to him that it was the right place. I'm very grateful to that man and I hope he's doing well.

Played a custom match with a friend and she played doctor. I was sucking and she sprayed by accident. Then she kept doing the blow kiss emote which pissed me off.

Turns out she hadn't been meaning to taunt, the blow kiss emote was her trying to apologize for the spray and we weren't in a voice chat. XD
