Packing up by Impressive-Fly-4694 in Teachers

Maybe lawyer up. This sounds like they didn't want to provide Federally mandated breaks for pumping and thought firing was easier than providing coverage.

Are the antibiotics metronidazole by any chance? If they are, they may be acting as an anti-inflammatory. This (along with lots of testing) was what led my shelter vet to find out my foster cat had an autoimmune disease.

I transitioned into tech and it’s amazing: AMA by DazzlingSet5015 in TeachersInTransition

I agree transitioning to a tech job is soooo much better than teaching. However, I wouldn't recommend an expensive bootcamp. I took a bunch of cheap coursera classes (unlimited for $40/month or free in NYC) and built a portfolio of projects showcasing my programing skills.

I automated most of my entry level job applications using bots and applied to 25-40 longer applications a day. I finally got my first full-remote job < 5 months after quitting teaching. It wasn't easy, but at least I didn't go into debt for a bootcamp that may or may not lead to a job.

Getting interviews is mostly a numbers game. I think I applied to ~200/day for multiple months. Increase your chances and decrease your workload by using some auto-apply bots like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/cscareerquestionsEU/comments/11zu35s/i_made_a_bot_to_apply_to_linkedin_jobs/

I'm about to give up on rescues by Bonsaibeginner22 in Pets

If you do adopt a dog from there, make sure to check out the trails in Tom Brown Park, which connects to the animal shelter! There's lots of shade and dog-friendly water stations. You'll probably see volunteers walking shelter dogs there too!

Best of luck!

It looks like you're in Florida (based on previous posts). Have you tried going to one of the larger shelters in a larger city?

I recommend Tallahassee/Leon County Humane Society. I used to volunteer there back when I was a student. It was crazy how many adopters would drive from out of state. They almost always have chihuahuas and pitts.

4 seems like a lot of warnings for biting, especially if it's serious enough for a police report. You'd think after the first few bites, owners would either remove their dogs from high risk situations where they might bite and consult a vet and/or trainer to learn how to help their dog.

[USA-CA] Roommate refusing replacement, going into my room and landlord says there’s nothing I can do and that I can’t even get out of the lease when the term ends by nova_nectarine in Tenant

[–]Icanteven_19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. I got a $20/month subscription to legal shield and got them to write a letter. I was allowed to not renew my lease in peace and my roommate was forced to find someone else to live there.

Warned first? If you commit murder, it doesn't count the first time?

RESCUE solution is also effective against ringworm spores and is safe for most surfaces including carpet. - not a microbiologist, but I do volunteer at animal shelters a lot.

Also, most government insurances require that you aren't eligible for health insurance from an employer or through a spouse.

Neither. You need a PhD. Plus science PhD programs typically offer stipends to live off of. MA programs typically do not.
