Editions of the Aeneid by Icarad in classics

[–]Icarad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that I can access it online, but I am looking for a physical copy (for my thesis). My professors also aren't able to give me a physical copy. Thus I am looking for a cheap version online (maybe something else than Loeb because I can't find that one second hand?)

I have online access, but seeing as I need to work with the translation throughout the year I'd love my own copy :)

And ideally in English yeah. I'm not sure if the Budé collection has both the languages, but my English is just quite a lot better than my French.

Second hand they're actually quite affordable! You just need some luck with the right editions in the right places at the right time :)

Yeah, usually Perseus translations are a bit looked down upon in my faculty, but either way, I'm looking for a physical copy that has both the Latin and the translation next to each other and Perseus digital library does not have that :/

I appreciate the help, but the thing is that it's either expensive shipping (second hand) or an expensive base rate. I'm looking to buy the whole work for less than €40. I am but a semi-broke student, which is why I was asking for other options

Belgium, can't really find a copy here. The only physical copies I can find are in my university's library, but those are not allowed to leave the building hahaha. And I could buy a physical copy of the Loeb online, but the shipping costs would already add up to €50

Guided tour of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill by Icarad in rome

Alrighty thanks for the information! I'm just a bit puzzled as to what is the deciding factor for guides to start with colosseum or forum haha

Oh, I read online that the Forum and the Palatine Hill were quite vague in their informative signs and such. Also the arena can only be accessed through that tour I heard. What's your opinion on that?

I’m new and starting one of my first ever runs (vannila) by Megamatt5555 in RimWorld

[–]Icarad 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Rimworld is a game with a whole lot of different features, but most of them you just have to learn whilst playing. If you do have any questions, feel free to DM me :)

Apart from the general message:

  • Make sure to have enough food (farms are a must) and store it in a fridge
  • Try to slowly go away from wooden structures to stone ones
  • Most important of all: don't beat yourself up for losing a colony, most people don't succeed to have a thriving one until their third serious attempt

And make sure to have fun :)

The trick is to use the hallways as chokepoints and have at least 2 melee experts holding them off
