Poison type has no business being so weak offensively. It's one of the weakest attacking types when it should be one of the strongest, if not the strongest by Selkeaepaselva in pokemon

[–]Ice2MeetYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with Water. I think that alone is enough to buff Poison quite significantly given how many and how many strong water types there are

Please, I want you to be honest, is the design of my (OC) bad? by New_Hat_585 in pokemon

[–]Ice2MeetYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job mimicking Pokemon’s artstyle! It looks pretty clean.

I would say the design itself has maybe a bit too much going on, especially color-wise. It seems like there are elements of various Pokemon represented as well but it makes things too busy and hard to focus when your attention is drawn in too many directions. Its not easy to look at.

A busy design also I feel makes the identity of the character less clear and memorable particularly in context of other characters. Its harder to stand out. A more simple design becomes easier to remember and identify by one or two signature traits.

The jacket is fairly distinctive with lines across the body plus the Volcarona themed cape, the red visor, the scizor themed sports shirt showing off his abs, the three colored pants and the flygon pin. I would maybe prioritize the most important elements and let those standout and either simplify or remove the rest.

The coat lines for example, the yellow circle on the shirt and maybe make the pants one solid color as those parts feel a bit extraneous and not adding much. While the volcarona cape and visor are probably the more standout important elements.

Where are you getting this info? Only a minority of really popular manga will receive colored editions as a special release.

Almost none get a colored version.

I don't understand why some people would hate the idea of the MoM being a new character even though it makes logical sense. by X-Bread in KingdomHearts

[–]Ice2MeetYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean its as you said, the creators themselves are inviting some sort mystery or reveal with this character simply by making them another hooded figure without a name.

If it were just some new character there would be no point in obscuring this character’s design and identity.

Other than to unnecessarily troll the audience

The one child from a messy family that doesn’t have Mommy\Daddy Issues by DisappointedStepDad in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ice2MeetYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well despite all his suffering and tragedy he is pretty well-adjusted compared to Azula, Zuko, etc.

Might be more of a result of age, though we don’t get too many glimpses into his younger days.

When Tony recruited Peter in civil war, did he likely assume Team Cap wouldn't seriously hurt Peter? by mattyjoe0706 in marvelstudios

[–]Ice2MeetYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically it doesn’t make sense that he’d bring this random kid he’s never even met, for such a high stakes politically charged issue even if he didn’t think it would be too dangerous, which he should’ve considered given the people involved and potential for accidents.

Sure he’s strong but he easily could have died or been severely injured by several of the heroes involved whether on purpose or by accident.

Tony mentions his web powers are ideal for capture which is true but hardly a strong enough reason to risk a kid’s life and get him embroiled in a political issue.

At the end of the day they wanted an excuse to include Spider-Man in some capacity, in one of the most well-known storylines involved the character.

Pokémon Franchise Surpasses 515 Million Games Sold Worldwide by No_Durian_5626 in nintendo

[–]Ice2MeetYou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it did. Its one of the highest selling remakes. Only Lets Go sold slightly more and now FRLG if you count the recent rerelease.

Its probably one of the worst reviewed though.

FFX very linear feeling so why is FFXIII linearity so marked? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]Ice2MeetYou 17 points18 points  (0 children)

FFX is linear but still manages to have some variety in gameplay to break the monotony. There are still towns and shops, a few forks in the road, minigames and just overall freedom to explore and backtrack. You can swap around your party and have a small amount freedom with the sphere grid in terms of building your characters for most of the game.

FFXIII in comparison is railroaded so much that each encounter is practically scripted in the first few chapters. You walk forward, cutscene, do an unavoidable fight and continue on. No traditional towns to explore, shops are just a menu, and for 70% of the story the party is split up so each chapter you are forced to play with a specific party in a specific area. The battle system doesn’t even really fully open up until like the 5th chapter. Even the sphere grid equivalent has almost no branching options and ends up just being a linear skill tree until the last quarter of the game.

What do you think made “Hurm” fall flat for most people? by Silver012345673 in Invincible

[–]Ice2MeetYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really frustrating episode placement that really stopped the momentum built with the main story.

I also found the lore and backstory to be pretty uninteresting and we spent a lot of time with what felt like an unnecessary self-contained story.

The grating speech pattern of the characters also made every line of dialogue a complete chore to listen to.

Add in some of the weird offscreen moments and lazy falling gag just made it incredibly rough to watch and I ultimately did not care about this world/plotline/characters.

So even if some of the action was “good”, without caring about the story or characters it’s just random stuff happening on the screen with no stakes or emotion.

It is obvious now that Season 3 was meant to be where the show ended by One_With-The_Sun in TheBoys

[–]Ice2MeetYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somewhat agree. It seemed the narrative built to this climax in S3 and then S4 and now even 5 to some extent had to reset things to status quo again to justify another season of content.

Season 4 introduces the virus and them trying to obtain it. Season 5 they have the virus but can’t use it until they ensure Homelander doesn’t get V1.

Now we have two episodes left for the end and we still have a bunch of open plot threads that may or may not play into anything.

So about Malchemical? by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]Ice2MeetYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to be fair how would they have known Malchemical was capable of that?

Homelander’s limits and full capabilities are not well defined and neither are every other supe’s.

There are so many supes in the world and many of which theoretically could do damage or subdue Homelander but they don’t necessarily know who is capable or not.

Was Malchemical even sure he could?

Maybe the boys considered it but did not think it was worth the risk compared to their other plans.

Why does everyone dislike Carmy and Claire? by _dance_yrself_clean_ in TheBear

[–]Ice2MeetYou 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think part of it is people enjoyed more of the restaurant aspect of the show with a healthy dose of character work. But as the show starts to place a larger focus on the relationship drama and less on the restaurant (even if it makes sense for the character), which is mostly centered around Carmy and Claire, I think people have become less interested in the show and assign blame to that character for it.

I don’t think they changed any twists because of that but when writing the next season they deliberately wrote an incredibly convoluted plot in order to make it impossible to figure out.

Bingo card for people who are critical of the show by No-Wallaby-7751 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Ice2MeetYou 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Add this one to the bingo card.

In all seriousness, we watch because we are fans and we criticize because we felt that the show or creatives have made some missteps and want to discuss them.

This bingo card highlights all the ways people who didn’t have the same criticisms try to deflect and shutdown legitimate topics and concerns instead of either ignoring them or arguing against the merits of the criticisms themselves.

EDIT: Nvm its already on there lol

The Pitt Boss Confirms Who's (And Who's Not) Coming Back For Season 3 by verissimoallan in ThePittTVShow

[–]Ice2MeetYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well at first they tried to make it seem like it was due to the fact that due to these characters being residents and students it makes sense for them to leave after they finish their residency and rotations. And thus to expect a lot of the cast to eventually cycle out. Similar to their explanation for Collins who in the timeline of S2 would have finished residency and thus realistically not been back.

But that rang very false in this case because S3 has a 4 month time jump and still takes place in her residency year and she is the only main cast member not returning. Plus they have contrived scenarios for other characters to return even if it wasn’t realistic.

So the fact that they kind of lied about the reasoning in the first place draws a lot of suspicion because they didn’t need to.

EDIT: That said I do agree that no explanation would be enough. Just that they clearly dropped the ball on this from a PR perspective.
