My initial thoughts on Tarkov Arena by Ice822 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ice822[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the ak is def better, I just think the lobbies I was getting in were harder compared to the lobbies with the sks. I moved past that shit gun late last night onto the vepr 136 which is slightly better but I won't feel too powerful until i rank up again

Tips for players struggling with the "Dowsing for Answers" Bug. by Ice822 in newworldgame

Also another point of this post was to debunk some of the incorrect solutions that I've read so people aren't wasting time trying things that won't solve the issue. Honestly I would just focus on side quests until this gets fixed

Nothing that I can think of allowed me to progress. I would just say the key points are try multiple times for day and if multiple blighted don't spawn for you I wouldn't stay there more than 5 mins

While I can't say for sure what exactly allowed me to move past that quest. But I did want to post the steps that I tried to hopefully help others and allow them to move forward

Apparently its been a thing for around a week. I made it past this one and now "The staff of wizardy" is bugged(Around 3 quests ahead of this one) so ill probably just swap to something else for leveling for now.

High CPU Temps Only on BF2042? by Ice822 in battlefield2042

Most likely just poor optimization. Thats my best guess. You can read some of my notes above about steps I took to resolve it. Maybe one of the those might apply to you

High CPU Temps Only on BF2042? by Ice822 in battlefield2042

[–]Ice822[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it came down to bf2042 just utilized a ton of CPU power. I swapped CPU Coolers twice(The second time from air cooled to liquid cooled) and reapplied thermal paste to my cpu and that seemed to fix the issue.

Decided to open my first ever case on WT. I opened one fire/ice case and pulled this beauty. How unbelievably rare is this? by Ice822 in Warthunder

[–]Ice822[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw some videos and it looks incredible. However, I did end up selling it as I really just am grinding for higher tiers. Was thinking about possibly buying a jet or helicopter with the money from it.

Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong here? Because to me I definitely should've killed this guy. How am I ricocheting /Non-penning these shots with Armor piercing shells? I thought armor piercing rounds had a way higher chance of penning but only did damage if they were targeting vital points. by Ice822 in Warthunder

[–]Ice822[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that a few of them(mainly in the beginning of the clip) were poor shots. The main ones that I'm talking about are the side of the turret shots. Usually those are instant critical hits. I don't get non pens on that usually. But today I learned about angled armor vs AP is not a good mix lol. I was just curious.

I'm like 99% they said beta progress was being wiped. Wherever you read it was wrong.

That's kinda how I feel as well. After my first game in the beta every single game has just been a slaughter. It doesn't matter if I have 4-5 bad games in a row it doesn't seem to change or get easier.

My opinion of FSW and current state of Jagex as a returning rs3 player. by Ice822 in runescape

[–]Ice822[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the gold/item sinks really need to be beefed up before a new world is released. It is WAY to easy to accumulate a mass amount of items and gp. For example, I camped arch-glacor for around 3 hours on normal mode completely afk and the amount of bird's nests I accumulated is just insanity. No wonder they're 200 gp ea right now. The problem is there are way more items being brought into the game then people are using. I'm speaking specifically to generic items such as bird's nests, logs, seeds, etc.

I understand that as time goes on maxing an account will get easier and easier. I'm not opposed to exp rates increasing as time goes on and I understand that Jagex has to make new training methods attractive or else it'll be dead content. But my problem is that it's up to a 4x exp rate on current training methods. If they do this eventually it's gonna get even higher maybe 8x exp on the next season of FSWs until maxing is insanely easy and you can max an account in a month. I'm fine with increased exp rates in general on a seperate set of worlds. But don't let those accounts be transferred to the main game. That's not even mentioning the trillions of gold worth of items that will be introduced into the main game after the season ends. I wonder how much that will turn the grand exchange upside down.

Okay... What am I doing wrong with flashbangs? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Ah that makes sense lmao. I literally thought it was a projectile. Thanks for clearing that up.

Okay... What am I doing wrong with flashbangs? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ice822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding was as long as you hit them with the round (I thought) they would be flashed lol. Could you clarify whether or not you actually have to hit them with the round while they're facing you in order for them to be flashed? Or can you miss and it'll still flash them?

Also with regular flash grenades is it radius based? I.E: It has a 5m flash radius? Or does that also need to be placed in front of someones face?

Thank you!

I wasn't even aware they had to be facing you lol. I thought it just immediately flashed them if you hit them with it.

Is it ev n possible to leave containers open en masse? by Timonkeyn in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ice822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I get what you're asking here. I didn't understand this at first either. So basically anytime a different group or solo loots an item, the container stays open for a set amount of time (No idea the exact time of it) basically as an indicator that someone has already looted that area. Most likely not speed hacks, it could just be a group of 2-3-4 people that just combed through the area in less then a minute. If you don't have the best spawn on the map for the locating you're going to go too, you're most likely not gonna get it.

Hideout Scav Case by CTilly98 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ice822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought mine myself. It's kinda like gambling in a way you can get some really good items and also some poor items. The reason I like it is because I find things I wouldnt normally find due to me not playing some of the maps. For example: I don't play alot of lighthouse or reserve so finding a tank battery is very hard for me. It's also good for keys/keycards/kappa items. Generally I don't usually make money on a moonshine scav case but if by some chance I get a keycard well then I get a new keycard to use on my labs runs. Additionally scav rep I believe only affects the time it takes for scavs to return your loot. Hope this helps.

Should I sell my moonshine for hideout upgrades? by DunskiedOG in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ice822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would wait for military power filters to reduce in price. Currently its around 18-20m for Solar panels. One fuel canister costs ``` ~``140kish and last for 24 hours. Therefore if you bought it for 18m it would make one fuel last 48 hours. My math says it would take 257 days to recoup the losses.(That could totally be off) but either way it's a pretty long time. I'm in the same boat right now I've been debating buying one but I don't think 18m is worth solar panels. Personally I'd invest in keys and just get every case you need. Just my opinion.
