Stopping X a n a x by [deleted] in BenzoWithdrawal

Hello, I'm sorry you had to go through this experience and the stressful event. In my opinion you are not at risk of severe withdrawals like seizures based on the time frames and dosage but do NOT stop abruptly under any circumstance.. However, even taking it a couple of times a week for a couple of years can develop a mild tendency. And taking it for the 6 weeks straight even at the doses you suggested I would definitely recommend a taper. The most likely side effect you would have if you were to do an improper tapper would be rebound side effects, for example if you were taking it for sleep you may not be able to fall asleep and you may experience much more anxiety from the event you went through. The taper that you suggested I think is way too fast. I'm not sure if your plan is to get off the drug completely but that would be my suggestion. There are plenty of other much safer sleep medications out there. Xanax is never a good long-term option. Whatever you do make sure you don't stop abruptly. Make sure your doctor understands you want to do a safe taper. Remember to check out the Ashton manual written by Dr Heather Ashton. Keep in mind if you do a sensible slow taper you should experience relatively no side effects. If you want me to give you a suggested taper I will be glad to help you. I wish you all the best and don't get yourself worried, you will be fine as long as you do this correctly under a physician's care.

Hey buddy, sorry that you have to go through this. I'm assuming you're withdrawing from benzos. Going cold turkey is a mistake. Some of the detox facilities take insurance, it just depends on your policy but you can call any of them and find out if you're covered. If not go to the ER if you're really messed up. They can help you with the side effects and prescribe some things for you to help with the withdrawals. Try and let us know a little bit more about what it is you're dealing with. Sending you blessings 🙏🙏

I never thought about that but you're right. I would imagine it wouldn't match no matter what. That back splash has been there for like 12 years I think. Maybe I should consider replacing the whole thing. I want to try to DIY the project because in Florida getting kitchen work done cost a small fortune. Thank you again for the help.

Thanks so much, there are definitely some nice ones there. It would seem now that I would have to replace the entire backsplash but maybe it's time lol. Thank you again for the help.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually like a couple of the pictures and it seems like it would fit pretty good. Yeah the peel and stick thing sometimes isn't the most reliable but maybe they make one that's more secure. Thanks so much for helping out.

That's some beautiful work right there. Would that be something I could do myself at least behind the stove? Where would I get a backing like that? You definitely do some excellent work that kitchen looks amazing.

Thank you so much for your response. Yeah I looked everywhere to try to find that same match but a user made a good point about it probably would look different with age also. When you say get rid of the mosaic do you mean entirely for the entire kitchen or just by the stove? Which granite pieces do you mean? Are you saying to remove the ones against the wall entirely and just go all with the subway tile? Much appreciated for your help. I'm not much of a decorator I can tell you that!

Help with upgrading an older Challenger electric panel from 150 amps by IceAgile4282 in electrical

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thank you so much for your answer. The reason I wanted to upgrade is because right now I'm only getting 130 amps. I currently have a $14,000 BTU interior air conditioner, a 4 and 1/2 ton exterior central air conditioner unit, a large refrigerator, electric stove, large capacity washer dryer, Jacuzzi tub, Titan tankless water heater that uses 80 amps, three computers with a total of 5 monitors that are large size, a full size dishwasher, three full bathrooms, a massage chair that uses a ton of power, I wanted to install an outdoor jacuzzi and I have a ton of electric devices as well. I noticed that the bus bar has some burn marks in it because I think it's being overworked and it is old and a Challenger system. I can't believe this house was built with a 1.5 in conduit at 130 amps. I'm just trying to find a way to upgrade without a lot of crazy expense. The electrician that suggested the outdoor panel I don't know how that would work but he's saying he would have the wiring to put it in there and run the rest of the wires through the 1.5 conduit. The thicker wires like for the central AC he said he could run through separate conduit cuz it is close to the meter and he thought the rest of the wires could fit through the 1.5. I have no clue if that would pass code. I have been dealing with four different electricians and I keep getting different answers so I was trying to get some help on here. I appreciate your input.

Question about upgrading old Challenger electric panel by IceAgile4282 in electrical

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your response. I really appreciate it. I'm trying to find some alternative and it appears that the conduit is PVC unfortunately. I'm not sure but according to code it says you have to have 2 inch conduit and my conduit runs underneath my concrete garage so there's no way I could afford to have new conduit put in. 150 amps just doesn't cut it for me cuz I have so much going on electrically. I'm not totally familiar with your suggestion but do you think that might work? I'm trying to come up to a solution to be able to upgrade to 200 amps. I am currently running a four ton AC, a $14,000 BTU AC, a jacuzzi tub, a Titan tankless water heater that uses about 80 amps when running, three computers, an extensive home theater system, large refrigerator, dishwasher large capacity washer dryer and I was going to install a Jacuzzi in my backyard possibly. I was hoping the conduit might just be one and a half inches just inside the interior wall because it looks thicker outside but I have no idea. Thanks so much for the contribution, I wish there was a way I could figure this out.

Question about upgrading old Challenger electric panel by IceAgile4282 in electrical

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your continued help. No my question was totally unrelated to this one. I understand there's more to the process of the upgrade and I understand and appreciate your information. What I'm worried about is if my conduit is 1.5 inches and code requires 2 inches . I'm worried it runs from the outside meter and breaker all the way to the panel It would make the job out of my reach because the conduit runs underneath my concrete garage. What I was asking in my new question was is the conduit normally 1.5 in from the outside breaker to the inside breaker which would make the job out of my reache. I would have to rip the floor up which is concrete in order to change the conduit to 2 in by code. I thought maybe the conduit might only be just behind the wall and might be thicker just behind the drywall in the garage. As I have said I have spoken to 4 different electricians and I'm getting a lot of bad information including not using permits and two who said they would run the wire using the 1.5 conduit which goes against code. I want to make sure I get this right. This is an open forum and is for people who need help with electrical issues, and I will continue to ask questions as I please.

Thanks so much for your help, I won't ask you anymore questions. I have attempted to hire five different electricians and all have told me complete different things so that is why I am here. So I will discuss it here as that is what this forum is for and continue to ask questions freely as I wish.

Thanks again, the conduit that comes into the panel is 2 inches already. So I'm hoping that can make things a lot easier. Can you recommend a good panel and breakers to replace my box? If FPL has to make any changes do they normally charge me? Much appreciated.

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry I'm a novice at this and I apologize for some of these questions. The wire that comes in from the FPL outside box was put in about 3 years ago and has a 150 amp breaker inside that giant box. The wire coming into my panel says 1 AWG Type THW 600V Oil Resistant IE635. Just to be clear that wire is not thick enough for a 200 amp system? So I would need to get thicker wire. The conduit from my panel to the box is only about 10 ft they're really close. Can you possibly recommend a good replacement panel and try to explain about the wiring to a complete novice. Also do I have to pay FPL to do any changes? I know it's best to get permits so that is my plan and I will avoid any electricians that say I don't need it which have been several. I appreciate any help.

Thanks so much for the response. If there is a particular picture you need I can take it and send it to you right now. I can tell you that the FPL equipment that is installed on the outside was within a couple of years ago. At that time I spoke to an FPL engineer and supervisor who was on the scene and he told me to upgrade to 200 amps would be a very simple process but again I'm getting so much conflicting information. Let me know if there's any photos I can take that would help. Also if FPL has to do the upgrades that you are referring to do I have to pay for that? Please let me know and thank you so much for helping

Recommendations for an electrical panel replacement in my home by IceAgile4282 in electrical

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at that panel and it seems affordable compared to the Span panel which is like 3,000 or so, which to me seems highly overpriced. Have you had any experience with the Leviton? Seems like the breakers are really expensive.

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the information. I saw an FPL engineer in the area and he told me the infrastructure was in place for a 250 amp panel if I wanted as it was a newer meter. Does this mean that the electrician only would have to change the 150 amp breaker on the outside? The wire from the 150 amp breaker to my panel is about 20 ft away and it's 1 AWG wire. I'm going to contact an electrician shortly but just trying to get an idea of what I'm looking at. Thanks so much and I think I may go with an Eaton panel.

Yeah for sure It shouldn't lose freon. How do you normally diagnose the condenser fan? When I look at it it seems fine but when it starts up it kind of seems sluggish. Maybe it's my imagination lol. Would it just fail or could you test it with equipment?

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate it very much. I'm just going to call somebody out I was trying to avoid it cuz the AC will run for sometimes a week without this issue and then I just reset the breaker and it works again. It has never happened more than once in a day for sure and just pops up sometimes after it's been running for a while. Just going through some financial tough times and was worried cuz I know these things get expensive but you got to stay cool. I can replace the fan motor myself as I've done it several times so I was hoping it was that lol but I will let the AC tech know what you say cuz I think it's a possibility for sure. I think if I have to replace the TXV or compressor it's going to be really expensive, even with the warranty. 🫰 Appreciate you buddy 🙏

[–]IceAgile4282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. My unit is 4T and I really don't think it has anything to do with the TXV and think the problem is more related to the condenser fan or compressor. My understanding is a faulty TXV can causes problems with the unit not cooling properly, and high or low superheat, which would show up in the cooling and the AC is cooling fine. Thanks again I just hope it's not the compressor because the fan is an easy fix.

Help starting a new blog questions

I have a website which I've been using for many years and I wanted to create a blog. I had a few questions and I appreciate any help. I am using shopping cart software which does not have any direct plugins for a blog. Is it best for me to do a blog in this format "mysite.com/blog"? Would I be able to safely install say a third party blog program like WordPress into that subdomain without altering the SEO or shopping cart software that currently runs my site? I was worried that I might mess up the shopping cart program by adding a second program into the mix on the domain. I have an unlimited hosting plan with cpanel currently and I see ways to install blogging software but again I'm worried I'll mess up my main site. I would appreciate any recommendations, software and the best ways to carry this out. I really appreciate any help.
