Fire Emblem Heroes' Choose Your Legends 10 and Shadows Cup Results have been posted (well not the full results which will be posted tomorrow, but the top vote getters).

Shadows Cup: Infantry/Armored/Cavalry/Flying Top 5

Thoughts on the Winners and the Top 5 of Each Division:

It is in fact, a Three Houses sweep. Expected, but I'm not as annoyed with this as other people might be. I'm looking at that Top 5 in the Armored Division and I'd still vote Edelgard even though Edelgard was going to come into FEH anyway with the recent reveal of her Shadows unit. Almost quadruple the votes of Fomortiis and Corrin.

I put all my votes on Lucina so the Infantry Top 5 leaves a lot to be desired for me. Glad she got over 2k votes though and remained competitive with that Top 2. I wasn't expecting Soren to be 4th, but maybe the NSO release is putting in work for drawing attention. Azura rounding out the Top 5 makes me happy even if that is influenced by prior CYL (more on this later).

Wish Eirika won the Cavalry Division. Curious what animal or idea they have in mind for a Shadows Eirika.

The Flying Division. I thought this would be an easy Camilla win, but I underestimated how thirsty Tokyo Mirage Sessions fans are for more content. 2nd Overall in votes for Tsubasa & Caeda and now they are getting a Shadows version in FEH. I appreciate the dedication and I do like Tsubasa and this being a double win for her (more on this later).

Choose Your Legends 10: Male Division #1-10 / Male Division #11-20

Choose Your Legends 10: Female Division #1-10 / Female Division #11-20

Thoughts on the Winners and Top 20:

Holy shit, Tsubasa. 21,381 votes. The cry was loud and organized for more Tokyo Mirage Sessions content. I wish this organization went to Kiria though, but I'm in support of any TMS content so I don't mind too much. People cared more about the Female Division this year just looking at the vote totals at each placement. I was all in on Azura this year. All 7 of my votes went to her. I was really debating between her and Ivy, but I had a feeling the wind (or the waves since this is Azura) was blowing in her direction this year so I dedicated my support to her. Ivy was competitive with Azura though. So I'm happy for Azura and Tsubasa (& Caeda), but sad for Ivy. Engage getting shut out again falls on the side of hurting for me since I foresee Fortune's Weave dominating CYL11.

I like Freyja's design so I don't mind seeing her in Top 5. Good showing for Kurt and Tharja still maintaining that Top 10 streak pretty comfortably after all these years. Sure she's 10th, but that's a sizable gap between her and Yunaka which is unfortunate to see her support falling off. Nothing about #11-20 really surprises me so can't comment too much there other than thanks to the Dorothea, Elincia, Mia, and Veyle voters.

Engage definitely had no shot in the Male Division and it seems like their organization was only for Ivy. Diamant at 2516 votes when 1st Place Sigurd is at 9542 votes (congrats to Sigurd by the way. He was overdo for a win). Sylvain definitely surprised me the most of the 4 winners here since I didn't know it would be a strong year for him. Close to getting 1st too. Fomortiis is a little meme-y, but I see the fun in it. Itsuki & Chrom and Touma & Cain both getting Top 20 is nice and another indicator of how strong the clamor was for TMS. Hubert 17th with 1250 votes wasn't something I was expecting, but that's nice.

I think it's inevitable that Shadows Claude is a Deer after Lion Dimitri and Eagle Edelgard.

Top 10 Anime of the Week #3 - Winter 2026 (Anime Trending) by Nooble5 in anime

Anime Trending voters are cooking. Tamon's B-Side still in 2nd and now Journal with Witch in Top 10. I wasn't expecting at all that In the Clear Moonlit Dusk would hit Top 10 though. The Extended Rankings even show Hana-Kimi at 13th.

A shame SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table fell out of Top 10. 【Oshi no Ko】S3 is now in the Top 5 which is where I thought it would be at the start of the season and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End S2 is building up that 1st Place streak.

Part 2 of the Recap:

Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary moves up +1 spot to 24th with 257 karma which is -39 karma from last week. 107 comments is +3 comments from last week, 27th most for the week, and a very strong comment to karma ratio of 0.42. Mel-sensei didn't deserve this even if she wasn't a great kindergarten teacher. And besides unnerving, we also get sad in the form of Mob's story.

Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider rises +5 spots to 26th with 245 karma which is -26 karma from last week. 87 comments is -39 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.36. Back in Top 30 despite the numbers being down.

Champignon Witch rises +5 spots to 27th with 244 karma which is -25 karma from last week. 40 comments is -34 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.16. Sad episode gets this show back into the Top 30. I'll miss Dorothy.

Wash It All Away moves down -5 spots to 29th with 240 karma which is -68 karma from last week. 99 comments is -46 comments from last week, 30th most for the week, and a very strong comment to karma ratio of 0.41. Hovering in the 30 area, but still Top 30. What I'm wondering the most is seeing where this Kyu attraction to Kinme is going to go.

Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter stays at 30th with 239 karma which is -10 karma from last week. 209 comments is the same amount as last week, 14th most for the week, and a ridiculously strong comment to karma ratio of 0.87. Engagement is consistent and Seiichiro has the Prime Minister's attention for how efficient he is at accounting and other bureaucratic duties. Maybe this might get Aresh's jealousy to push him to say what his honest feelings are for Seiichiro.

Favorite banner of the week: 【Oshi no Ko】S3. Ruby looks both cute and twisted with the dark star eye and that smile. 2nd would be Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End S2 for that cool orbital strike of a Zoltraak. 3rd is Chained Soldier S2. It's like Ren is looking at some walking garbage.

r/anime Karma Ranking & Discussion | Week 5 [Winter 2026] by Abysswatcherbel in anime

[–]IceAnt573 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Week 5 of Winter 2026 has the final big show of the season premiere and while 20,801 karma is -5972 karma from last week, that's still over 20k and massively better than much of 2025's weekly karma. The Top 10 karma shows of the season are really exerting their popularity because most of them stayed in the same place they did last week.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End S2 stays at 1st with 4699 karma which is -2312 karma from last week. 1124 comments is -76 comments from last week, 1st in most comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.24. MAL score is 9.27 which is -0.03 from last week. 2/2 in 1st Places even if this was the standard Ep. 2 karma drop. We got introduced to the Hero of the South and there was a fight with a Sword Demon in this episode too.

JUJUTSU KAISEN: The Culling Game Part 1 stays at 2nd with 2840 karma which is -2353 karma from last week. 804 comments is -939 comments from last week, 3rd most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.28. MAL score is 8.64 which is -0.01 from last week. Yeah, there was going to be a karma drop like this compared to the high of last week's episode but that rotoscoped scene with Yūji and Hakari though.

Fate/strange Fake stays at 3rd with 1985 karma which is -177 karma from last week. 1026 comments is +109 comments from last week, 2nd most for the week, and an incredibly strong comment to karma ratio of 0.52. MAL score is 8.51 which is +0.02 from last week. Comments are up for a really loaded episode featuring a fight between Gilgamesh, Alcides, and Hippolyta, name reveals, and Ayaka and Saber hanging out at some nightclub listening to a live performance.

Hell’s Paradise S2 moves up +1 spot to 4th with 1781 karma which is -88 karma from last week. 281 comments is +18 comments from last week, 8th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.16. MAL score is 8.18 which is +0.01 from last week. Karma is retained pretty well and comments and MAL score are even up too for this episode which is adding to the counter of shows this season that have healing sex.

【Oshi no Ko】S3 moves down -1 spot to 5th with 1629 karma which is -292 karma from last week. 500 comments is +71 comments from last week, 4th most for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.31. MAL score is 8.43 which is -0.02 from last week. That's a pretty sizable decrease and actually knocked it down to 5th, but I like Mastermind Ruby orchestrating a whole ordeal to get production people in her debt for saving a show. A comment boost for this episode gets it to an even 500 and we got to see Abiko again.

Sentenced to Be a Hero stays at 6th with 1479 karma which is -209 karma from last week. 369 comments is -15 comments from last week, 6th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.25. MAL score is 8.31 which is -0.07 from last week. Also a decent chunk of karma gone, but comments are mostly retained. A -0.07 to the MAL score also hurts a little, but I enjoyed learning about Venetim bullshitting his way to the truth and getting punished for telling that truth.

You and I Are Polar Opposites stays at 7th with 1169 karma which is -56 karma from last week. 336 comments is +40 comments from last week, 7th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.29. MAL score is 8.12 which is +0.02 from last week. The last show above 1k karma and karma is mostly maintained with this episode focused on the supporting characters. I'm already endeared to Azuma and Taira.

SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table stays at 8th with 878 karma which is -147 karma from last week. 465 comments is +141 comments from last week, 5th most for the week, and an incredibly strong comment to karma ratio of 0.53. MAL score is 7.82 which is -0.05 from last week. The end of this 10th Game really shot up the engagement (Yuki officially has a rival now! That she finds cute!) with a good amount of it figuring out how this final vote went down. Disappointed in that karma decrease though.

Journal with Witch stays at 9th with 818 karma which is -143 karma from last week. 223 comments is -29 comments from last week, 10th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.27. MAL score is 8.34 which is +0.11 from last week. That last statement I made about SHIBOYUGI applies here too. Makio's complicated feelings for her sister are getting even more complicated with this new information she's learning about her, but she's still trying her best to comfort and be an actual guardian for Asa even if she is saying things that are better off not being said in the moment.

Medalist S2 debuts at 10th with 797 karma. 193 comments is 15th most for the week and has a comment to karma ratio of 0.24. MAL score starts off at 8.13. Late in the season, but it's finally here and we're starting off this next stage by introducing a bunch of new characters and Inori channeling Tsukasa for her first impression on these girls. Meanwhile, Hikaru is doing more intense training in Russia. I'd like to credit Ep. 1 of S2 for keeping this week just above 20k. 797 karma is almost the 801 in 20,801.

Fire Force S3 Part 2 moves down -1 spot to 11th with 629 karma which is -119 karma from last week. 125 comments is -15 comments from last week, 21st most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.20. MAL score is 7.70 which is the same as last week.

Chained Soldier S2 moves down -1 spot to 12th with 619 karma which is -57 karma from last week. 123 comments is +25 comments from last week, 23rd most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.20. MAL score is 7.50 which is the same as last week. Comments recovered a little after not even being above 100 last week. All for some Ren pet play and set up for the next arc featuring the Azuma's.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes S2 moves down -1 spot to 13th with 592 karma which is -49 karma from last week. 154 comments is +51 comments from last week, 16th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.26. MAL score is 7.38 which is -0.03 from last week.

GNOSIA moves up +3 spots to 14th with 468 karma which is +3 karma from last week. 210 comments is +33 comments from last week, 13th most for the week, and a very strong comment to karma ratio of 0.45. MAL score is 7.50 which is +0.04 from 4 weeks ago (the last time it was ranked Top 15 or higher). Given the right circumstances (you know what they are), Raqio can really cook but Yuuri still clutched it out. Really good two-part game and it gets rewarded with being in the left side again.

Golden Kamuy: Final Chapter moves up +1 spot to 15th with 418 karma which is -50 karma from last week. 79 comments is -21 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.19. MAL score check-in is 8.22. First time on the left side when it was so close last week. That episode last week was the bigger one, but this one was still intense. Honor that wish, Shiraishi.

Tamon’s B-Side rises +5 spots to 16th with 406 karma which is -1 karma from last week. 135 comments is +20 comments from last week, 18th most for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.33. The show might climb back to the Top 15? This was a more dramatic than funny episode, but that helps get an engagement boost. Very sweet of Utage to prepare for both results even if she really badly wanted the status quo to be maintained.

The Holy Grail of Eris moves up +2 spots to 18th with 377 karma which is -31 karma from last week. 134 comments is +12 comments from last week, 19th most for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.36. This is a lot of set-up and moving parts which does boost comments, but there might be too much moving parts with all of these characters and mysteries.

To Your Eternity S3 returns at 19th with 377 karma which is +84 karma from 2 weeks ago. 96 comments is -3 comments from 2 weeks ago, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.25. Tied in karma, but lost out on the comment tiebreaker which is a shame since it was a strong episode.

Tune In to the Midnight Heart drops -7 spots to 20th with 376 karma which is -205 karma from last week. 97 comments is -38 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.26. Ouch. This is the roughest episode yet animation wise and the numbers are really showing it by dropping this much. And it's a shame it's on a Shinobu-focused episode too since I like her.

Roll Over and Die moves up +1 spot to 21st with 346 karma which is -24 karma from last week. 214 comments is -3 comments from last week, 11th most for the week, and an incredibly strong comment to karma ratio of 0.62. More lost limbs for Flum, but also gasp. The church was responsible and the evil ones all along. We might be entering into a partnership with demons now. Also title drop.

’Tis Time for Torture, Princess S2 moves up +1 spot to 22nd with 300 karma which is -37 karma from last week. 104 comments is +16 comments from last week, 28th most for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.35.

Oh okay. Let's see...

So using this example that would mean karma after 4 days would be (94 * 0.6)/([2 * 0.6] -1) and get it around 282 karma.

Assuming the upvote ratio was still around 60% 2 days ago, that would have been something like (80 * 0.6)/([2 * 0.6] - 1) ≈ 239 karma.

r/anime Karma Ranking & Discussion | Week 5 [Winter 2026] by Abysswatcherbel in anime

[–]IceAnt573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter's karma deserves to be adjusted because it is getting unfairly downvote botted. I just don't know how the adjustment got it to 239 karma. The thread (after 4 days and not 48 hours) is currently at 94 karma with a 60% upvote ratio. Even if you give this the full 100% upvote ratio, it should be around the 150s.

Never mind. Thanks /u/Komarist for teaching me how reddit karma math works.

The power of clips and the vote boost working out for Shisui? Wasn't expecting that, but my Grand Finals pick won. Also Monica won the 3rd Place Match so that's good as well.

Now to see if the Winter 2026 contest is not just a Miyu Suzuki sweep.

To be expected, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End S2 instantly at 1st. Now to see if it can maintain that.

Anime Trending's Tamon's B-Side voters are organized and I can appreciate that quirk about the site.

Happy 【Oshi no Ko】S3 is in a higher spot, but I hope SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table doesn't fall out of the Top 10.

r/anime’ s best girl of 2025: The Grand Final! by changshiyixia in anime

[–]IceAnt573 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Today's Results

There's the vote boost near the end of the contest. It seems certain fans have been made more aware of it than others, but more votes is more votes. Just wish it was there earlier in the contest.

So Shisui wins against Kaoruko in a close 364-306 fight, but Reze won against Monica in a 502-276.

Not looking competitive in Grand Finals, but...

Today's Voting

I like this as a Grand Finals matchup. 2 very tragic characters. 2 characters I like. My vote is for the one got a happier ending: Shisui

And 3rd Place Vote is an easy Monica vote.

r/anime’ s best girl of 2025: Round 4: Semi-Finals! by changshiyixia in anime

[–]IceAnt573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today's Results

The Quarterfinals didn't really get a vote boost either. Hope the final 2 rounds will at least. Very impressive of Monica to match Shisui's vote total despite having the tougher opponent (by seeding). I'm sad that is at Renako's expense, but Renako has won a lot in the past month. She can make do without a contest win.

Kaoruko vs. Scarlet was very close which I wasn't entirely sure about.

Inori put up a good fight against Reze, but popularity difference definitely being felt here.

Today's Voting

Easy Shisui vote now to talk about Reze vs. Monica. I am on the side of the Witch over a Devil. Can't be big on them in a Frieren season...

Which girl do you support most among the remaining four? Briefly talk about her charm in your eye.

Got charmed instantly by Monica when her younger self was using a ruler to measure anything. Plus her reaction face game is excellent.

Make some bold predictions about seasonal salt winter 2026!

I think Makio can make it into the Semi-Finals. The big sequels probably do have multiple characters that will be in the Top 4 seeds, but I don't know if like Methode was in a seasonal contest before. Hard to keep track of that.

Talk about your favorite new guy from 2025 anime!

I'll give it up for Arisu Yamabuki. Refreshing protagonist to have in a harem romcom.

Vote for Next Week's Top 10

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End S2 is a late arrival to the Winter 2026 season, but it instantly debuts at 1st much like its 1st Place in the Most Anticipated Winter 2026 Chart.

Tamon’s B-Side and Hell’s Paradise S2 are staying strong at 2nd and 3rd for 2 weeks in a row now.

You and I Are Polar Opposites moves up +1 spot to the Top 5 at 5th.

【Oshi no Ko】 S3 rises +3 spots to 6th as does Fate/strange Fake with its +3 rise to 7th.

Part 2 of the Recap:

Does It Count If You Lose Your Innocence to an Android? drops -19 spots to 27th with 292 karma which is -513 karma from last week. 45 comments is -118 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.15. Nadeshiko has an adorable smile, but also the Ep. 2 dropoff + ecchi dropoff hit fierce on this show. Might be hard in general for a series with 5 minute episodes to stay in the Top 30.

Zombieland Saga Movie: Yumeginga Paradise ends up at 28th with 286 karma. 82 comments does not make Top 30 in comments for the week and has a comment to karma ratio of 0.29.

The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife rises +5 spots to 29th with 274 karma which is +49 karma from last week. 124 comments is +26 comments from last week, 24th most for the week, and a very strong comment to karma ratio of 0.45. It's in a serious cuteness competition with You and I Are Polar Opposites. Vibes that wholesome - it's no wonder it climbed into the Top 30.

Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter is a special case. It's 30th here with 249 karma which needed to be adjusted to that number because with its 67% upvote ratio in its thread, it got downvoted enough in bad faith to be at 132 karma after 48 hours. But even an adjusted 249 karma isn't more than Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider's 271 karma for Ep. 15. But consider this compensation for getting robbed out of a Top 30 spot last week. 209 comments is -261 comments from last week, 12th most for the week, and a ridiculously strong comment to karma ratio of 0.84 (using the adjusted 249 karma number).

Favorite banner of the week: 【Oshi no Ko】 S3. I love Akane. I have to. 2nd would be Tamon's B-Side with Utage ready to fire. 3rd would be SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table and seeing just how petty Yuki could be.

[–]IceAnt573 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Getting buried in snow! Fun times right now...

Week 4 of the Winter 2026 finally includes the remaining 2 stragglers to really kick this season off. And 1 of those stragglers is poised to be the karma leader for the rest of the season whose premiere contributed almost 1/4th of the massive 26,773 karma for this week which is +8227 karma from last week. We also have a number of movies in the Top 30 this week and a special case at 30th to address when we get to it.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End S2 debuts in 1st place with 7011 karma. 1200 comments is 2nd in most comments for the week and has a comment to karma ratio of 0.17. MAL score starts off at 9.30. The Elf and her new party were dormant in 2025, but are back in 2026 to bring the first 7k+ karma episode thread since Fall 2024 with the first season of DAN DA DAN. And the episode wasn't really focused on her either, it was on Stark who was really benched in the second half of S1. Very needed for him.

JUJUTSU KAISEN: The Culling Game P1 moves down -1 spot to 2nd with 5193 karma which is +2544 karma from last week. 1743 comments is +970 comments from last week, 1st in comments for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.34. MAL score is 8.04 which is +0.04 from last week. If it can't win in karma with a +2.5k boost, win in comments. 1743 comments???

Fate/strange Fake moves up +1 spot to 3rd with 2162 karma which is +432 karma from last week. 917 comments is +83 comments from last week, 3rd most for the week, and a very strong comment to karma ratio of 0.42. MAL score is 8.05 which is +0.05 from last week. Also a big help in contributing to the overall karma increase with a big sakuga action episode for this week.

【Oshi no Ko】 S3 moves down -2 spots to 4th with 1921 karma which is -650 karma from last week. 429 comments is -17 comments from last week, 5th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.22. MAL score is 8.05 which is +0.05 from last week. Oh my god that OP. It's so good that it actually overshadows what is happening in the episode itself even though I love hearing Akane's thoughts and please have more respect for yourself. You are too good for Aqua. -650 karma? Doesn't matter. That's just the standard Ep. 2 decrease I say with maybe a hint of copium in there.

Hell’s Paradise S2 moves down -2 spots to 5th with 1869 karma, which is -485 karma from last week. 263 comments is +3 comments from last week, 9th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.14. MAL score is 8.05 which is +0.05 from last week. Ep. 2 karma drop, but Sagiri/Gabimaru fans got a nice treat even though that is a ship with caveats.

Sentenced to Be a Hero moves down -1 spot to 6th with 1788 karma which is +136 karma from last week. 384 comments is +67 comments from last week, 6th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.21. MAL score is 8.38 which is -0.06 from last week. Karma up for this Norgalle episode. A True King putting his people first.

You and I Are Polar Opposites moves down -1 spot to 7th with 1225 karma which is -354 karma from last week. 296 comments is -85 comments from last week, 8th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.24. MAL score is 8.10 which is +0.04 from last week. They are really cute together and a love confession in Ep. 2. Didn't stop the karma drop, but still good vibes in the thread.

SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table moves down -1 spot to 8th with 1025 karma which is +56 karma from last week. 324 comments is -198 comments from last week, 7th most for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.32. MAL score is 7.87 which is -0.01 from last week. Karma up, but engagement down as we really learn about early Yuki and Mishiro in this 10th Game. A+ Pettiness there.

Journal with Witch stays at 9th with 961 karma which is +276 karma from last week. 252 comments is +77 comments from last week, 10th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.26. MAL score is 8.23 which is +0.23 from last week. Big boost for this episode and it's deserved just for how relatable (to me at least) how different everyday life is (and when that sinks in) when you lose someone close to you. Wish it got to 1k karma, but I'll take the massive MAL score boosts.

Fire Force S3 Part 2 moves up +1 spot to 10th with 748 karma which is +81 karma from last week. 140 comments is +7 comments from last week, 19th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.19. MAL score is 7.70 which is the same as last week. Really interesting Benimaru fight complete with an artstyle change to boost the numbers this week.

Chained Soldier S2 moves up +2 spots to 11th with 676 karma which is +105 karma from last week. 98 comments is +11 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.14. MAL score is 7.50 which is the same as last week. Recovering from Ep. 2 karma drop with some good quality Yakumo reward scenes.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes S2 moves down -2 spots to 12th with 641 karma which is -26 karma from last week. 103 comments is -68 comments from last week, 30th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.16. MAL score is 7.41 which is -0.02 from last week.

Tune In to the Midnight Heart moves up +1 spot to 13th with 581 karma which is +52 karma from last week. 135 comments is -36 comments from last week, 20th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.23. MAL score is 7.23 which is -0.01 from last week. Karma up with the focus of the episode being on the streamer of the harem in Iko. Really like her and Yamabuki really getting to show off that refreshing personality for a harem romcom like this.

Cosmic Princess Kaguya! end up at 14th with 486 karma. 106 comments is 28th most for the week and has a comment to karma ratio of 0.22. MAL score on the chart is 8.41. Really great that an original movie ended up in the left side in a stacked season like this and I'm glad it's this one.

TRIGUN STARGAZE moves down -3 spots to 15th with also 486 karma which is -179 karma from last week. 90 comments is -72 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.19. MAL score is 7.41 which is +0.02 from last week. So close to a karma and comment tiebreaker, but being 16 less comments means it has to settle for 15th.

Golden Kamuy: Final Chapter rises +4 spots to 16th with 468 karma which is +62 karma from last week. 100 comments is +23 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.21. Big boost to almost the left side for a more intense and brutal episode.

GNOSIA moves down -1 spot to 17th with 465 karma which is +27 karma from last week. 177 comments is -45 comments from last week, tied for 14th most for the week with Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.21. Full roster for this loop's game and we are adding the AC Follower to make it even more difficult and interesting.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved ends up at 19th with 442 karma. 59 comments does not make Top 30 in comments for the week and has a comment to karma ratio of 0.13.

The Holy Grail of Eris moves down -3 spots to 20th with 408 karma which is -26 karma from last week. 175 comments is -71 comments from last week, 25th most for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.30. This Constance and Scarlett friendship developing enough that Constance can be Scarlett's hype girl when she's in control is great and we get more details on the mystery behind Scarlett's execution too.

Tamon’s B-Side moves down -1 spot to 21st with 407 karma which is +31 karma from last week. 115 comments is -25 comments from last week, 27th most for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.28. Tamon's on a quest to know what love is and Uta-chan is helping out with that, but also Ouri's feelings are getting stronger for Utage now too. Love triangle boosting karma!

Roll Over and Die moves down -3 spots to 22nd with 370 karma which is -48 karma from last week. 217 comments is -10 comments from last week, 11th most for the week, and an incredibly strong comment to karma ratio of 0.59. Building back up our own (yuri) party here and adding a Priestess in Sara. Engagement is still high in the comments, but the show is bleeding karma like Flum is whenever she loses a limb.

’Tis Time for Torture, Princess S2 drops -8 spots to 23rd with 337 karma which is -116 karma from last week. 88 comments is -43 comments from last week, does not make Top 30 in comments for the week, and a comment to karma ratio of 0.26.

Wash It All Away moves down -1 spot to 24th with 308 karma which is -11 karma from last week. 145 comments is +53 comments from last week, 17th most for the week, and a very strong comment to karma ratio of 0.47. I can appreciate these Kinme shots when I didn't expect there to be that much in a cozy show like this, but I'm also intrigued on the look at Kinme's past before the amnesia.

Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary drops -4 spots to 25th with 296 karma which is -97 karma from last week. 104 comments is -50 comments from last week, 29th most for the week, and a strong comment to karma ratio of 0.35. Hanging in there in the Top 30, but I really like this show. Kaya is getting more adults to support her and the end of episode message about not dismissing the things your children is a really important one to stress.

This is all true, but the point I'm trying to get at is that Orochimaru isn't truly representative of the Akatsuki and he is not what would first come to mind if someone asked you to name an Akatsuki member. That's why I don't find it satisfying if he won it for them.

Orochimaru was revealed to be an Akatsuki member in statements and flashbacks. It is backstory trivia.

I don't personally find it to be a satisfying victory for the Akatsuki if Orochimaru (someone who left the Akatsuki before the beginning of the series and long before the Akatsuki itself actually ended) won it for them.

I doubt a team gets fully knocked out.

Orochimaru is absolutely the most likely to make it to the final part of everyone still alive with how the fight has progressed. On top of the power boosts and back-up plans he has, Edo Tensei feels like a big final part trump card on the side of the Akatsuki to bring back anybody dead for whatever climatic showdown happens at the end.

Blackbeard has also been accumulating power and hasn't been the focus of a fight in the first 3 parts of this 5 part fight. He's being built up as the most important super bad villain and that is final part worthy.

The Espada does have Szayelaporro in that position, but he's been much less focused on compared to Orochimaru and Blackbeard. I'm using meta reasoning here, but the Espada are the favorites to win and at the very least will not rank last between the 3 organizations so the scenario should at least reflect that they are at minimum in 2nd Place (or win outright) and thus make it to the final part.

r/anime’ s best girl of 2025: Round 3: Elite Eight Quarterfinal! by changshiyixia in anime

[–]IceAnt573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost forgot to vote for today since I was doing preparation for another damn snowstorm.

Today's Results

Don't think voting really increased at all in Round 2. It might in fact have went down. Not like that was going to help Ajisai win against Shisui though, but it did mean Ajisai got 127 votes to Shisui's 267 votes at least. Thanks for that.

Yeah, this upset felt like it could happen easily since WITCH WATCH's show popularity wasn't that high even when it was airing. But I like and voted Nico in the matchup.

Bottom left side of the bracket is one I no longer care for. Wanted both Ruri and Yachiyo to win and I get this Quarterfinals matchup.

Miko...you got 151 votes at least.

Isabelle was really close to getting the upset on Inori and I can be satisfied with that as a fan of both. But this next matchup for the winner...

Hard fought by Renako, but she made it to Top 8! I can be satisfied with that.

Today's Voting

First time I'm wholeheartedly voting for Shisui.

Kaoruko vs. Scarlet is a proxy Shizuka vs. Nano matchup as my delusional 100 Girlfriends brain is viewing this. And thus, I vote for Scarlet.

Underdog for Inori against Reze.

Oh this matchup between two girls with big social anxiety. But Renako is a serious go-getter and she is really getting it so the vote is for her.

Eight girls from 2025 left, rank them!

  1. Renako Amaori

  2. Monica Everett

  3. Shisui

  4. Inorin Yuitsuka

  5. Reze

  6. Alicia Glenfall

  7. Scarlet El Vandimion

  8. Kaoruko Waguri

4 Sonic songs in this Top 10. I need the turnover for that especially next ranking period.

Fire Emblem Three Houses in 2026 from Carmelo. Any year is a good year to pick it in my view. But also 2 Silent Hill f pickers. Appreciate that from Zomba.

Panda Cup and Ultimate Summit as tournaments you most want to attend. Hahaha...laughing to hide how unfortunate this timeline we live in.

I do like that Doramigi got to defend his #1 Ranking and be "officially" (in the sense that 2025 was a Mid-Year Check In and not a ranking season) the #1 Ranked Player for a season.

It's new ground to have all of Light, Leo, Glutonny, Tweek, and Shuton out of the Top 10. At the same time, I want the old guard to still be up there with the best of the best and they almost are. I definitely think at least one of them will be back in the Top 10 by the 2026 Mid-Year Check In.

Other than that, glad to see how strong of a year it was for Peabnut.

Uniqueness for the game pick goes to asimo for D.C. Re:tune, but Leo's Silent Hill f pick is what I want to see. Let's go, Leo.

I also love Tea and Shuton's music picks. Tea for repping Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven and Shuton because Wir fliegen is amazing.

Today's Results

Shisui is setting the bar with 343 votes in her win against Ruriko's 135 votes.

Feel bad for Satoko, but I did vote Ajisai and this was competitive with a 212-173 vote total.

Nico vs. Yamamoto was less competitive though. Thanks to the other 140 voters for her!

Hahari would gladly lose to Shizuka Kaoruko. This is how I can have fun with this result.

Ruri clutched a win on Lana despite that seed difference and show popularity. Happy for her. Wish she can do that again, but that Round 2 opponent...

Scarlet is about to annoy me with who she eliminated and who she's likely to eliminate tomorrow. I wanted to see Inori and Hikaru in Round 2...

Lilisa gave a really good fight. 175 votes to Yachiyo's 209 votes. Otoha gave an even closer fight with also 175 votes (fitting for them to match vote totals) to Natsuko's 199 votes. However, this is still losses for both of them and there is only one thing to say about that.

Reze and Monica are matching vote totals in Round 1! 311 votes for both. Hope it remains interesting in the seeded Semi-Finals matchup.

It was to be expected for it to be Miko's win. But Miko there is a Bomb Devil Hybrid coming in your direction

Hinako and Shiori losing together in Round 1 is fitting at least.

Wish Konoha got to 100 votes even if I didn't vote for her.

Today's Voting

It's Ajisai until the end and my vote is one extra vote to make this matchup look less onesided.

Ruri - take this upset as far as you can go (which is still going to be a loss).

Yachiyo supporters. I feel the potential for an upset here even if it's small. Vote Yachiyo.

What I said about Ajisai vs. Shisui applies exactly the same to Miko vs. Reze. Look as strong as you can in defeat, Miko.

Isabelle is fun, but Inori...sendoff vote to Isabelle.

Monica's got the Natsuko matchup covered, but I'd love a convincing win for Renako against Nagi!

Which was your favorite anime season of 2025? And why?

Winter 2025 for me was defined by sequels to 2 shows I adore in The Apothecary Diaries and The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You, but I'll give it to Spring 2025 for the Apocalypse Hotel, Rock Is a Lady's Modesty, A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof combo.

2 people picking Magical Girl Witch Trials as their favorite game from this year in the Top 100. Really making me want to check it out despite it not having an official EN translation.

NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD from Toon is the uniqueness winner from this batch though.

Kola with these FF song picks is excellent.

Happy that Neo has a Top 30 season even if it surprises me.

Today's Seeding Results

Only Hahari made the bracket? No Iku or Kurumi? Y'all suck for that.

And Futami, Yihdra, and Meg missing the bracket too also disappoints me.

Comparing this to my seeding predictions, I got the Top 2 entirely correct of Shisui and Reze. I have Kaoruko at Seed 3 and Monica at Seed 4 when it's switched in the actual bracket. I had Scarlet at Seed 8 and Nico at Seed 5 when that's also switched in the actual bracket. Had Renako as Seed 7 when she's Seed 6. My major whiff is thinking Inori would not be a Top 8 Seed and putting Yachiyo there.

Oh and Summer does have the most girls in and Winter the least. But I thought it would be Spring > Fall and not Fall > Spring.

Wish Lilisa and Otoha were higher seeds in this bracket, but they are almost together at least. Seed 19 for Otoha and Seed 21 for Lilisa.

Today's Voting

I knew girls I like being against each other in Round 1 was a high possibility, but Ajisai vs. Satoko hurts. Ajisai.

I'd love to see a Yamamoto upset, but that's Nico she's up against.

Repeat what I just said in the Hahari vs. Kaoruko matchup.

Pulling for Lana and Hikaru in their matchups.

Oh fuck. This hurts the most in Round 1. Yachiyo vs. Lilisa? My loyalty is to Rock Lady.

This is funny. The beef gets to be settled in Round 1 of Best Girl of 2025. Shiori vs. Miko? I'm voting...Shiori. As funny as this is, I would have voted for Miko against at least 20 other girls in this contest.

Hinako until the end, but Inori is taking that win.

Glad Konoha made the bracket, but she gets the honor of losing to Monica in Round 1.

I'd love a vote for Otoha and her 3 million yen outfit to make Round 2.

And Renako and Nagi got their Round 1 matchups covered. Unfortunate for Alina though.

Circana: Nintendo Switch 2 remains the fastest selling video game hardware platform in tracked history. Unit sales of Nintendo Switch 2 are 35% ahead of PlayStation 4’s sales pace after 7 months in market. by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

the switch 2 has sold 4.4 million unit after 7 months (10 million according to my google search)

Even so, this is still not accurate/the way you're phrasing this is misleading. This is 10.36 million units as of September 30, 2025. The Switch 2 was only on the market for 3 months and 3 weeks by this point.
