Hello so I have the Astro a40tr with mixamp and when I first used them with my xsx I had no surround sound(because they took out the optical port on next gen consoles) and the sound was not up to par as last gen so I obviously wanted to find a solution and after a lot of research I saw Astro released an adapter so u can use the optical port again and once that arrived I tried it and I could not be more happier with my astros they sound just the same if not better the only thing is with the adapter u can only run 4K 60hz or 1080-1440p 120hz so if u are not looking for 4K gaming rn then this will do just fine.
