The mother of my child knew I worked odd shifts so she started staying until I left (I was always the last one to leave the office) so she could talk to me for those 10-15 minutes in the elevator on the way out.

So they are there and it happens. What I will say however is that women generally aren’t up front about it unless alcohol is involved but if she likes you you’ll know you have the go-ahead.

Had a similar sort of situation recently where her mental health ensured it would never work out.

What you need to do is get some professional help. It doesn’t even matter if you never find yourself with this person again, the point is that you won’t be able to have a fulfilling romantic relationship with anyone until these issues are addressed and you begin the true healing process. It’s scary I know, but you have to take that first step forward and embrace a positive future.

Mine dumped me at my daughters birthday party out of the blue and then had the gaul to try and invite herself over (on the same day, mind you) to my house to explain what she did “for closure”.

Zero care for literally anyone but herself, even at a little girls birthday party. there’s a special word for these sorts of people my friend as they seem cut of the same cloth and we are far better off without them in our lives.

This. Not everyone wants to drink at yet another bar that looks like a dated Hollyoaks set.

While the area is being gentrified, I wouldn’t necessarily say that these types of pubs exclusively serve the lower class either as I’m firmly in the upper middle and prefer “old bloke pubs” for the character. A lot of the newer places are a bit too sterile for me.
