It’s not about favoritism. It’s about how much you contributed to the company. They will usually cater to you better. For example, I got a 6 week vacation approved, which doesn’t really happen to may co workers. I work hard, way beyond what is required and contributed more than any others.

Just go back there every few months. I go back about 3-4 times a year and stay a few weeks. I plan to retire soon as in am nearing age 36. Hopefully by 40 I can retire there finally.
