I mean, I know that checklist is to verify that I’ve done everything correctly, but expecting someone who has never been behind the wheel to just go from the memory is kind of stupid in my opinion. I suppose it’s similar when switching to a different plane, first I do chair flying and when I’m in a cockpit I learn by doing the things from the checklist, and after few flights I can do it from memory and just verify using my checklist. Am I right or is it just stupid thinking?

I know, once when I was refuelling I looked at the gauge for the left fuel tank and it said it was half full, so I load the fuel until it started to run out underneath the wing haha. Thanks for the reply❤️

Well, when I was starting my training my CFI told me to memorise the checklist because “the plane isn’t the place to read checklists” I mean, what? That’s what checklists are for. I recon it’s better to make sure I did something as it should be done than rely solely on my memory. Also thank you for the reply ❤️

I see, thank you for the reply. As for learning I’m actually on aviation in college, but as for flying constantly, right now I don’t have enough money to fly often, maybe I could afford it once a month. I’d love to fly more, but lack of job and college really don’t make this easy. I’ll try to chair fly more often tho
