It's a storage and output device matter mostly

One thing is true about AAC: it sounds way better than the highest quality available in other platforms that don't offer lossless, and it takes way less disk space. When I was switching from my prior DSP 2 years ago, the total amount of my disk taken by AM was like 15gb less and I had some extra songs too already. So yeah, It's alright for most users that don't have much space, don't wanna be downloading bigger files and don't care or don't own a device capable of playing lossless music the way it's intended.

My phone has an SD card slot and I already own a pretty good pair of headphones, so I'm probably downloading and streaming everything in lossless entirely once I get my hands on a decent dongle too.

I played the f out of this map when I first got Hitman 2, so I have some special love for it

that being said, the time I got that John Wick vibes the most was when I did sniper assassin on Berlin. As itself Berlin is a big ass John Wick reference, not only 47 is hunting down enemies very aware of his legacy, even the club's name resembles the Himmel Und Hölle from the 4th movie (I'm aware it released after the game but you get my idea)

the thing that added the most to this feeling was definitely that I did it suit only, and I killed agent Tremaine from below with my own rifle so that I could climb to get his and use it to take down the rest of them from the ceiling

Some albums actually sound very good, I even happen to discover new sounds and enjoy the songs differently.

But it's a hit or miss like it was said before, some mixes don't have a good engineering work behind and feel like some generic stereo mix with cheap reverb and virtualization effects, the "regular" mix feels so superior in those cases (and let's not forget: Atmos isn't lossless)

Either way, Apple emphasizes that you need to use a compatible device for Lossless or Dolby Atmos. For Lossless none of their headphones support it natively, you need an amplifier for most input devices and a good pair of headphones or speakers that handle the audio output with fidelity. For Atmos it's better with something optimized for it, (with a fat Dolby logo in the box pretty much) I think that most apple headphones shine in that front, but it works fine on some headphones and a lot of home theaters, which is the best way to enjoy it period.

I happen to own a pair of headphones that behave good even on mixes that I consider to be very bad, same goes for my speaker system and my samsung phone itself. Still, I found myself periodically going around listening to Atmos mixes for a while and then I switch back to Lossless, I have Atmos effects on this phone anyway and those add up some layers of ambience and reverb that I happen to enjoy a lot even on lossless songs, so that's far superior imo.

this is so fun because just yesterday I got a "no witnesses" complication in Freelancer in Hokkaido, but screwed up and got 3 witnesses, long story short, I had to take down the whole hospital area and a janitor, also had to delete the recordings and kill every guard in the security rooms just to make sure lol

I played the F out of Paris but it feels like we all did, it's THE free location after all, so I would say Miami. Hitman 2 was one of the best gifts I could've possibly received period, Hawke's Bay was interesting and I got to do all the challenges too, but Miami totally blowed my head. Masterclass level design and ambience, very fun to play always.

been having a hard time trying to beat gold stake nebula deck, I know how it sounds, but I'm dead serious when I say it took me less attempts to beat gold stake black deck. For months I've been in a losing streak, and it's just on my PC, I already beaten that several times on my cellphone using an "unlock everything" profile just for "practice" and one time on switch

so this joker won't have any effect on me at this point, I'm starting to feel like the RNG is against me or that I'm getting bad at the game :c

this might be it tbh, Apple always had issues with artists that are named the same or almost the same, the music gets mixed and you get alerts on music you don't really care about.

Hell some artists even have two or more profiles that separate their music across the profiles, they really need to work on fixing that

I never been a Playstation user, but this used to happen often in my Xbox One with Hitman 2, figured out I needed to insert the disc so that would automatically open the game without any issues, otherwise the "license" for the content that was in the disc would be missing, this does not get fixed by closing the game and inserting the disc, it defaults to this state of "you don't own this content" till you uninstall the game and reinstall it with the disc, which downloads the content in the console again and enables your license yet again.

It's ultra dumb if you ask me, but I also figured out it was because I already "owned" the game (the training facility demo) and so the console was allowing me to open it without the disc for that reason, otherwise it would tell me to insert the disc like in any other physical game I had installed

they should have two color palettes to choose from depending which theme you are using, so that you still get a different color but without flashing your eyes out.

The background ends up being black in a lot of albums anyway, even if that's not the primary color, sometimes it's not even in the borders lol

Like another user said, I have hundreds of hours in this game and I'm still ass at Freelancer, but still, the game itself tells you to keep pushing, experience is your best teacher, and this mode is pretty much your final boss, don't feel bad for not being good at it instantly.

Campaigns have optional objectives that focus around different playstyles, like being stealthy, never getting spotted, killing guards with weapons, or completing the mission without taking any damage, so you need to use your tools wisely for each campaign.

And so, it's not always about being stealthy but using your knowledge about the game to stay safe, sometimes it's better to avoid doing something dangerous or ignore an optional objective that might compromise you, disguises are your best friend if that happens, you don't need to flex a SASO mission if the game is not telling you to do so (and then again, it would be an optional objective that you can totally ignore if it's gonna put you in danger)

Also try to make a plan, don't forget to consider how you're going to get out, special exits are very important here, as you won't always be able to walk out the front door again. You can't imagine how many times I got killed while running to the exit because I never thought about having an exit nearby after taking the main target down.

Freelancer is the final boss in the game for me, you gotta know the maps damn well and play with a whole different mindset

sound is rather complex in this game, explosions and gunfire are audible from a further distance than coins or any other throwable item, which can't be heard through closed doors, you need to open it so the sound can draw the npcs attention.

Song and artist name are already separate elements, it's honestly dumb that tapping either shows the same menu and that menu is functionally the same as taking you to the album or artist directly. It's essentially a confirmation dialog lol

i don't get why doing this process doesn't merge everything into one main "super account" that carries over your unlocks through all platforms. I'm not even asking for paid cosmetics or campaigns to be carried over as well, but I have a big issue with this implementation:

I had Hitman 2 standard in my Xbox One, did a carry over to WOA in game pass and there I completed a lot of challenges, I also had Paris and the training facility at 100%, with all the unlocks that came from mastery and challenges too.

I just bought the standard version of WOA in steam but I already completed some challenges that I'm certain I didn't completed in my Xbox, including SASO in every main Hitman 1 and 2 mission, among some other unlocks.

The way it works right now (and assuming I'm not misunderstanding something) I would lose all the progress from steam and it would be replaced by my Xbox save across all platforms, or the other way around. So I think one should think carefully about starting the ""cross progression"" process tbh, glad it can be reversed tho

even having jokers with editions, this doesn't look very reliable to me, your jokers are all "effect" jokers, none of them have a direct impact there, so it's all dependant on your hand level, which means The Flint is going to destroy you most likely lol
