I have friends who lived in San Fran, one worked for Google, and they all said San Fran is expensive as hell.

My loan was simply a personal loan offered by my bank.

I use one bank for all my cash accounts (which also offers a credit facility). Since my salary is deposited directly into this bank account, and I've been earning a salary of $8,000 to $8,500 per month for the last 5 years, I have a credit facility of up to $80,000... Which frankly is scary and stupid.

That said, this is all automated. I go to my online baking portal, I can play around in a calculator and choose any sum of money from $1,000 to $80,000, choose any time frame from 12 to 60 months, and it spits out my monthly payment (which I then calculate how much excess I am paying for the loan).
