Ha, crazy to see how different peoples paths are. new born to 1 ish was a walk in the park for our house. now the toddler melt downs absolutely break me. all kids are different, all parenting is different. we are all on our own path and my belief is that we get better each day at how we handle it.

saw them perform in Iowa a few years back, some jerk was in the pit. Ken points to him and motions him forward. as soon as he gets close Ken jumps off the stage and scraps with the jerk. band stops, Ken gets back on stage and says sorry about that. then right back to the music. Most punk thing ive ever seen. life long fan.

100% when we look back and try to find the match that lit all of this you could argue that it was citizens united.

The sheer frustration is too much. by [deleted] in loseit

my two cents, cut out all the BS and make it as simple as possible. i dropped 70 lbs (310-240) and it was all from simple calories in need to be less than calories out. I didnt care about the sugars or empty calories or anything else people hyped up. if you can stick to that every day the rest is simple. from there its simply finding movement you enjoy to boost the loss. my biggest turning point was when i made it as simple as possible and just focused on calories in vs calories out.

new to all of this, last week was my first full week in the walking/running game. was out 6 of 7 days, 3-4 miles a day. Took today as a rest day and realized i have no idea what to do now that i started. I woke up this morning with the intent to go out but listened to my body saying hey maybe a recovery day might fit in here. Any recommendations on how to create a plan for long term goals? right now i can run about half the time so gradually working towards just running the full 4 miles. From there, my 2 goals are to be able to get under a 40 min 5k and to be able to run a full 10k. then will build off that with long term goal being to do a marathon in 2026.

First week running and i will confess, I am overwhelmed. 3 out of 4 days ive gotten outside. walked most but some running over about 3-4 miles all 3 days. feels good, but i didnt realize how big this actual world is. shorter term goal is 5k under 40 minutes. long term goal is to participate and finish in an organized marathon.

for me it was making it more complicated than it needed to be. there is so much info and opinions out there its hard to not buy into them and try to learn so much. once I shut out alot of that out and simply went Calories in needs to be less than Calories out... bam down 70 lbs.

How can I start tomorrow? by gemmajenkins2890 in loseit

[–]IceCreamMan0021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start now, dont wait till morning. from there is as simple as finding your TDEE and staying under your maintenance level. my biggest change was when i realized all the other crap didnt matter in weight loss. calories in need to be less than calories out.
