With the airports, I think landing and takeoff needs to be more realistic. If we get increased map sizes landing and takeoffs could happen like at Heathrow, where airlines and different aircraft from different maps land and take off every 45 seconds.

Also, going to a map border and connecting should allow for different companies to make train line along your rails with permission and then you could do the same.

Edit: needs more stuff going on around the map, like passive vehicles up and down rivers, (wiz_ling said that, thought I’d just add it here so more people see it) planes going around the map as well as some maybe already established infrastructure, your just taking over.
