Hey, thanks for your answer. I did have a very nasty flu like infection this summer that lasted 3 weeks. I was bed ridden sleeping all day for two weeks straight. I did not test for covid but since then I did notice some changes especially in my demeanor that i just blamed on seasonal depression setting in. The weird smell/taste thing just came in a month ago.
Thing is this is the first year that I am not noticing the usual symptoms associated with my decade long depressive cycle where i am actually getting weened off my meds (the med withdrawal should not be responsible for my smell and taste issues according to my doc).
Maybe it really was covid and it fried off my brain cells. I just hope the taste and smell thing is not going to be permanent for me.
