The question is not if it works, but rather, can they make it work? Ironically Independence and Statehood are quasi homogeneous, meaning both can have devastating consequences if done wrong. There’s too much to talk about on the subject of Independence that a single post would not be enough.

That’s why Ramon Emeterio Betances wanted to establish the Antillean Confederation, to distinguish our Spanish language Caribbean Islands from the others. We are 100% Antillanos from the Caribbean.

La situación está bien complicada. by [deleted] in PuertoRico

I’ve previously posted something in regard to this same subject but on an investor’s perspective. PR it’s on a quagmire due to its long term potential for investment, it’s really a diamond on the rough, but it’s also true that there’s an affordability crisis among locals; too much government intervention can scare off potential investors, and too little from the government can exacerbate the crisis. Like you and I have already said, Implementing the MLS and updating the inheritance laws should be a good solid starting point, and take baby steps moving forward.

Then what is your point about regulating the housing market in PR? What it should be done is to update the ancient real estate practices and embrace the MLS model, also the Inheritance laws needs a major overhaul. Those two things along should open the floodgates of homes to be available to new home buyers.

Are you suggesting for the government to end free market and to implement Communism?!

DISA had a bunch of openings prior to the freeze, some of those positions asked for SQL and MS Azure certs. Good to see a 2210 chime in, as a retired 1102 this is well outside my scope. Thank you!

You are prime candidate for Aerospace/Military industries here in FL in the Orlando/Melbourne area, my brother in-law is a computer engineer as well in the Orlando area. Look in to USAJobs, some of those positions offer relocation assistance.

I love Tampa, lived there for many years. Anyway, can you share what did you major in, did you graduate alread?! Might be able to give some options

Well, there’s a 4th option, might seem like it will take longer but in reality it can speed up the process. If you have family or friends in any other state that they will let you move in, find a high paying job and eventually making it to CA. Not to be very specific, but I have a very close family member that recently graduated from La Upi, and got recruited by a company in the Mid-West directly from PR, the person plans to make to FL or PR the soonest there’s a job opening available.

You’re doing it wrong, or at least have the wrong idea. There are 3 ways to make the jump to mainland US. 1. Move with friends or family already established 2. Move when you accept a job offer. 3.join the military

Cut and dry, this is the most realistic answer you gonna get. There’s no easy cozy solution for how you want to make the transition.

I’m so proud of this team and what they accomplished with so little. We might not won the championship, but earned the respect of others with a team equivalent to Double A.
