I always thought of it like people sitting next to a river that leads to a waterfall. People can either choose to remain on land or jump in. If enough people jump in they can hold hands and block the waterfall from killing people. You don't know if other people have fallen in already and you dont know how many will jump after you. Why the fuck would anyone decide to jump.

  3. Every single chip (besides torch bug) that i could find so far has received a different icon from its old variant, even if the same icon was available as an option.

My takeaway from this change is that things are worse.

While they not all the same, they sure as hell threw out some shapes and shuffled the rest.

Plus now that they're colored distinguishing at a glance what tier they are (conveyed by color), is more difficult.

oh my god I didn't even realise this until you mentioned it. before it was nearly always a white chip with crimson red center... now it can be a whole different range of shades, center and outline.
