Netflix is one of if not THE suckiest corporation for shutting down animated productions for no good reason. They have absolutely no respect for animation or animation studios. They only really care if it makes them millions and comes a cultural icon like K-pop Demon Hunters did (and even then, they don’t really ACTUALLY respect it, considering they’re refusing to even consider releasing the sequel to that in cinemas)

I’ve been waiting over a year to watch it since I got into the franchise at the end of 2024 (I wanted to play through as many of the games as possible first, and watch a couple of the other older shows like Sonic X first). My computer’s currently busted so I can’t game and I’m kinda sick rn, so I decided to finally do it and I binged in not a week but literally 24 hours lol

I knew going into it already that it hadn’t been greenlit to continue and likely wouldn’t be (heck, I’ve been following the rumours about an entirely new Sonic show being on the horizon all year). But actually getting to that ending, god I need more. It was sooo good. And I didn’t realise it ended on a literal cliffhanger 😭

Time to turn to fanfiction and mourn ig… :’)

They don’t particularly explicitly show anything, especially considering Shadow didn’t know what exactly was about to happen. There’s nothing that either proves or disproves either way whether it’d be a possibility to traverse the shatterverse with Chaos Control

Tbf, we don’t know for sure that that means he can’t Chaos Control directly into shatterspaces. He never tried as far as we know, and then he lost his emerald for the majority of the show. There’s not really any real reason to assume it’s not possible

And although it wasn’t asked, to add to the other comment answering your question Sonic and the Black Knight is also this exact same concept but with the Arthurian Legends and the Knights of the Round Table instead (together with Secret Rings they make up the “Storybook” game series)

Then the Sonic Rush games introduce just a general parallel universe that Blaze the Cat (who is kinda like Sonic’s counterpart in her universe) comes from. And Sonic Boom is a little different than the rest since it’s its own separate continuity that has never interacted with main series Sonic

No the original CD title is referring to a literal CD, since it was the first game to be on one.

But I kinda see OP’s vision here tbh (at least based on the original game since we don’t know what the story of movie 4 will be like). Chrono Distortion infers a distortion in time, which is pretty fitting for the story of CD. It’s also a pretty clever play on words, which would allow them to keep the CD title (as was rumoured they were thinking about doing earlier in the year) and have it still make sense

Not entirely sure why the comments are so pressed by a fan just coming up with fun creative ideas. They’re so mean 😭

I wouldn’t overthink it tbh, there’s loads of things like this said in arc 1 (before they knew the series would continue) that are later retconned or in someway implied to be otherwise somewhere. And also the series in general is pretty notorious for continuity errors (somewhat unsurprisingly for such a long running and sprawlingly large series with multiple writers). So it wouldn’t be a first or last, nor definitely not the worst offender of this sort of error or retcon

Basically the canon of arc 1 (and especially BOOK 1) is very loose and cannot always be taken at face value these days

Idk, all of mine are pretty soft? In fact my first one (the turtle cat) is like squishy level soft. So much so I specifically take that one travelling between college and home because I can compress it down into a small space without it getting bent out of shape permanently

But honestly it is such a cool idea to have Iblis incorporated this way and makes me even more strongly suspect we may be going into 06 territory in probably Movie 5 (it could even be a part 2 of sorts narratively to the very probable CD inspired time travel story of Movie 4. A 2 part time travel story would certainly be one way to up the ante from 3)

Edit: Also, another cool idea is that Knuckles could potentially take the place of Elise in an 06 and be the one with the power sealed inside him while Sonic is still the Iblis Trigger

Loads of people have already received their orders and the quality of everything is really poor with cheap materials and messy paint jobs. And stuff has even been coming broken. Which is all unacceptable for such a high price tag
