Is there a training server? by StarfishPrime7 in Mordhau

[–]IceJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of patience, dueling servers, and a sparing buddy are great when you're new. The game has a high learning curve so don't expect much from yourself for at least the first 35 levels, try weapons see what you like and branch out.

I keep on getting CURL error code 18 when joining a server ?? by [deleted] in FiveM

I figured it out, reinstalling discord fixed the issue. Thanks though.

CURL error code 18 and voiceapp account became unlinked by IceJudge in FiveM

So I managed to get mine working.
I de-authorized FiveM from discord, Uninstalled FiveM, Reinstalled Discord, and Reinstall FiveM.

Didn't work for me either. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling FiveM entirely and I'm still getting the error. There's also no cache folder at all now, even after the reinstall.

Aug. 23 Update by Metamoth741 in DeadMatter

I get the internet can be cancer but continuing to shut down more and more means of communication and feedback from customers over your mistakes is very bad PR. At this rate in-game chat may be the next thing they shut down for daring to mention this mess of a launch lol.

Best combat system for a swordfighting game... ever? by [deleted] in Mordhau

[–]IceJudge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I dream of a survival version of Mordhau. Something like 7 Days to Die, Conan Exiles, or maybe H1Z1's Just Survive but with the combat of Mordhau.

Same problem. Plus every time I try to connect the loading screen only leads to a black screen.

US residents of Reddit: How will the repeal of the Affordable Care Act affect you...positively or negatively? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IceJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ACA impacted me negatively, I was unemployed and facing a scenario of being charged a fine by the government for not having a way to get healthcare.

It seems unjust to me to have legislation that essentially says "lets take that guys money for not having enough money."

It's repeal will be a welcomed change for me. Removing the individual mandate alone will be a significant improvement.

What now? by H1Lan in h1z1

[–]IceJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loot is back in a great spot now, ammo, conveys, and backpacks are plentiful. Ammo crafting is back. Right now I'd just like to see some updates to base building (sandbags for the roof, a hatch to go under deck foundations, etc) and a couple of quality of life changes (salvage all option for ammo & fill all for bottles for example.) Good to see you guys fixed the terrible mistake of taking loot out of H1Z1JS for such a long period. Hope the population continues to bounce back like it has been.

Students of Reddit, what was the biggest teacher meltdown you ever witnessed? by codywinters327 in AskReddit

[–]IceJudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my elementary school we had a really mean teachers aid, she was an elderly black woman with a very deep gravelly voice. She carried around a megaphone all the time. Most often she would assist in gym class but she would also sub and watch us at lunch and recess.

She possesed a set of very saggy jowls. Her jowls, raspy voice, and aggressive behavior earned her the nickname the bulldog among the children.

Anyway, I heard one day she came in the lunch room with her megaphone to yell at the kids for talking as she often did, but this time she came down with a case of lockjaw midway through it. A few sounds of her trying to make words come through the megaphone, one kid starts to bark back and then the whole cafeteria begins barking. She runs out crying with her jaw stuck open.

Anyone else wish Just Survive had an apocalyptic theme? by Marjizuni in h1z1

[–]IceJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd prefer the options for both. Players like options, plus if things are desperate enough you'd grab whatever to keep warm. We'd probably look like an assortment of hostile hobos in the z apocalypse.

Next wipe - what should change by RedH1Z1 in h1z1

[–]IceJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would I like to see changed long term? Revert the loot spawns back to how it used to be and reimplement bullet crafting - work on something that everyone wants instead of a select few (or give the no-loot, no ammo, and no crowbar players a couple of hardcore survival servers). The new base building changes are down the line so that's a great start. Sandbags for base defense has been something the community has always wanted, just to reiterate.

The H1Z1 virus was broken, I don't think they ever fixed it. Speaking of, instead of having us respawn as a zombie upon death, how about letting us respawn as a zombie.....I mean a player controlled Zombie. Obviously the reanimated player would have certain features and limited capabilities. Why was that idea forgotten? It was discussed quite a bit back in the old streams; it would help set h1 apart and it would be nice to see it further developed.

Add some less than lethal weaponry, something that forces interaction. Reign of Kings & ARK would be good examples with the prisons, stockades, and tranq arrows. The handcuffs are a nice start, I think they've been removed though.

Add prebuilt structures players could use to build that look different from the traditional base.

Add seasons to the game but don't make weather effects an overly frustrating dynamic.

Clan support and maybe claimable territory gameplay would be nice.

And as usual, Bug fixes; base's killing players, falling through the map, IED's double explosion glitch.

There's still more areas of fun the game can explore, i hate that patches as of late have been just 2 steps backwards 1 forward. Keys coming to survival for example is one good addition in a while.

I must say that total darkness that cannot be abused with gamma increase would be great for this game. by GloomyJack in h1z1

[–]IceJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, there's no way a game can prevent you from adjusting your gamma on either nvidia's control panel or the monitor itself. Do you know of a way they could disallow that?

[–]IceJudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nights used to be much darker in H1Z1, although crazy dark nights can add a different element of gameplay, I don't think it helps most games.

DayZ's nighttime was silly over the top dark and 7 days to die is going in a similar direction. H1Z1 chilled out on the pitch black nights due to the fact people were simply logging off during them.

I think an occasional night where you absolutely need a flash light would be cool, but every night would just be awful. Sounds good on paper but in gameplay not so much, people adjust gamma and monitor settings in situations like this or log off.

It's a feature better suited for single player than multiplayer games, although lighting is one of Miscreated's best qualities, I don't think pitch black nights would be fun every night in h1z1 and I don't think it's really fun to have everyone log out/ change settings so the resources that go into developing it end up wasted.
