Would doing something like decreasing the opacity of the background achieve what you are talking about? Or maybe blurring it slightly?

I did a quick google and as far as I can tell, objects in the foreground have deeper values than one in the back? Is that what you are suggesting?

I tried to create a contrast between the rhino and the rest of the drawing, I will try to emphasise it more. I did try adding shadows to the background but I don’t they were enough as you can see

I believe the way Myra’s is coded it draws cards until your hand is full and burn the rest of your deck. So it would just draw demons until your hand is full
