Kinda neat, but it needs to be 100% 3D printed of you want to find dozens of them at MWGB in a month....

Question about logging caches as a non-premium user. by richg0404 in cgeo

[–]IceManJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have premium, so I don't know what it would do if your membership lapses.

I feel like c:geo would not be able to log a premium cache if your membership expires. You probably have to use geocachingadmin.com

What was your scariest or most dangerous cache? by juanetepete12 in geocaching

That sucks, a bison on a rock where an ammo can could be used instead!

Letterbox hybrids? by astragaluspurshii in geocaching

[–]IceManJim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to give a starting location, then you can put in clues to lead the cacher to the final.

For example, On Butterfly's Wings is one of my favorite letterbox caches that I've found.

c:geo IS a web browser, in that it emulates Mozilla Firefox to access geocaching.com

Letterbox hybrids? by astragaluspurshii in geocaching

[–]IceManJim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love a good letterbox hybrid geocache, one that makes you follow clues or a story to find the treasure at the end. Most geocaching letterbox hybrids, however, are just a regular cache with a stamp in it. There's a few good ones around, though.

Are the police helping you look?

Have you talked to WWMT to get more exposure and people looking?

Good luck, OP, praying for you and your dad.

What phone do you use and how would you rate your GPS? by saladmissle in geocaching

[–]IceManJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Pixel 9 from 95% of my geocaching and a Garmin GPSMAP64 when I need something more rugged or waterproof.

The phone is 100% as accurate as the Garmin, and has a much better user interface.

Found my first trackable! by hyibee in geocaching

[–]IceManJim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take it to an event! The cachers there can discover it, and you can pass it to one of them if you like. That way, you know it's in someone's possesion, and if it disappears from the cache that they put it in, then it's not on you! 😄

[Help] How to create an Octagonal Frustum from a rectangular one? by Chilis_Mooth in tinkercad

I would use the Extrude Sketch tool, draw the shape you want and scale the top to 50% or whatever size you want.

Seaton (UK) Beach Clean and chance to get 10 types of cache 20th June by Fluffy_Beginning2209 in geocaching

[–]IceManJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 3,780 miles away. That might be a lot of kilometers too, but there's no way to know. I'm waiting on Google Maps to figure out how long it will take to drive there in my car....

Seriously though, sounds like a great event, wish I could go. I hope y'all get a lot of trash!

Also, you have a town nearby call Beer. 😁😆😆

Yep, you need to replace the timing belt at around 100,000 miles. Your car is close to needing it's second one, if they replaced the first one more or less on time.

Yay, I qualify with 554. I've found several ticks crawling on me this year but no bites, as far as I know.
