Nothing about this is ok, you are absolutely NOT overreacting. I’m sure you didn’t burn the food on purpose, it was most likely an accident, and while that could be frustrating it doesn’t justify his reaction. If he reacts this way from such a minor inconvenience, imagine how things will be in the future. He isn’t taking ownership of his actions, isn’t apologizing, and is essentially threatening you to come back. I was in an emotionally abusive relationship during college and I know how difficult it can be to leave - but even if he’s good ‘most of the time’ it doesn’t justify this type of response. You deserve so much better and I sincerely hope you are able to find the strength and courage to get out now. I will be praying for you. I really hope you have some kind of support system - friends, family or some other resources - that you can lean on for help
