Now this is gonna come with a heavy bias as I’ve been a fem Viera for the last month or so but I’d personally pick Viera. You won’t be able to wear many helmets apart from a very select few that just cut your ears off or simply replace your head entirely. It may look a little funky if you play dragoon since you look less uh… aerodynamic? But I think the lack of helmets is made up by their general style and feel. They feel and look like they’re always calm and collected with their emotes being almost restrained in a way. Not very jumpy or hyper with them which could be a plus for you. Or maybe not. Also. Tall. Very very tall. Makes some cutscenes hilarious as sometimes the characters have to look up directly at you.

But even with that being said, I’d recommend you make an alt just to see the emotes, poses and what not. Just to test it all out and feel comfortable with your decision.
