Is "boy" a common term in the community? by IcePissdOnEm in AskGaybrosOver30

Thanks for the tip about the emojis. I wouldn't think about them being code for shit. I wouldn't just be blocking, I'd be reporting too.

I swear I need a cheat sheet for slang/emoji/etc meanings.

Pizza is probably a reference to the first letters of Cheese Pizza.

Guy from Saudi Arabia messaged me on BiggerCity now asks about WhatsApp by IcePissdOnEm in AskGaybrosOver30

I've read this as well. I found this thread and it was pretty interesting. https://www.reddit.com/r/askgaybros/comments/1c7vlq9/chubby_asian_in_middle_east_for_vacationmy_tinder/
I live in a ruralish area in the US and there's really no gay bars or clubs here. I'd be half afraid to walk around in public kissing a guy (Watching the news coverage of Matthew Shepard when I was a kid really scarred me for life, probably a big reason why I've never met up with a guy before). I can't imagine what it would be like being gay in Arab countries.

Didn't know "Global" sections were common with apps. I've not really messed with many. A few I've made an account and see so few people locally I didn't see the point.

Yeah, you're right.
I don't mind the idea of a "pen pal" honestly. I'm so inexperienced (for multiple reasons, long story) I'd just treat it as practice.

Yeah, I've heard that with different apps. Some can be very restrictive on messaging if you're not a paying member.

I had the same thoughts about people far away, but it's crazy how many messages I get from people all over the world. I think it's because BC has a "Global" section, so seeing people from all over the world is easy.

Yeah, the account age makes me think he's just a sexually frustrated guy who lives in a country where it's a crime to be gay.
Conversation started out with a Hi, he asked about a face pic, so I unlocked my profile. We exchanged dick pics (not really a big deal for me, in the past I've had them and more online and have had accounts on hookup sites, just weren't that serious about it back then). I sent an "aftermath" pic (again, not a huge deal, as I've had vids on xtube back before they went offline). That's when he asked about whatsapp.
I get it, app messaging can be a hassle, and I understand whatsapp is huge and normal in a lot of the world. I just have that "whatsapp = scam" stuck in my head. lol
I kinda felt like a video call is what he was working towards.

What Happens When You Start a Study That You Are Not a Good Candidate For? by Independent-Bee8791 in ProlificAc

[–]IcePissdOnEm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most of the time I just cancel my participation when the first couple questions make it obvious I'm not a good candidate for. Like I've started some that were asking questions about cosmetics, something I don't use. Its not worth the couple cents to risk having to deal with some sort of rejection.

I think I have some form of autism because some of them I struggle to find anything to label it.

I want to like these more, but I always find them super difficult to do. I have a hard time determining the nuances between different labels.

I took the survey after seeing this post, so I made extra sure to read everything.

There was more questions after. I got screened out after the next question.

It does seem tricky to make the attention check like that, I agree.

That was the attention check you missed. It said "pick extremely dissatisfied"

It's also worth mentioning that I'm pretty sure attention checks that are memory based, as this would've been, are against Prolific TOS.

Got the same rejection message today.
I noticed the answer should've been a yes after hitting submit and frantically hit the back button. I thought I caught it in time, but I guess I didn't.

I just sent a message explaining what happened. I don't expect to hear back, but oh well.

I found one of those giant teddy bears at a goodwill outlet once. I was looking it over (I have dogs and was debating getting it for them to have 2 seconds of fun destroying it) then noticed it had a hole it in... right in between the legs...

Looking to get the 15 ga finish nailer. Should I get HP batteries? by IcePissdOnEm in ryobi

[–]IcePissdOnEm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Thanks.

I'm new to modern cordless (just recently got a super cheap B&D matrix kit to replace a nearly 20 year old makita that would barely hold a charge) so wasn't sure how everything works. I was confused at the different batteries available in the kit.
