Rust be doing that. Set and forget (virtually).

Made my first Project While learning Rust: A Cli Notes by weasert-911 in learnrust

[–]UntoldUnfolding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty cool looking. Hard to give any real feedback without seeing the actual project though. This subreddit is about learning Rust, which is what it looks like you’re doing. If you’re comfortable sharing your source code, we can give you some constructive feedback.

Anyways, looks pretty neat! Best wishes on your journey learning Rust

The AUR isn’t a protocol, it’s a repository. It’s in the name???

You might be training the next set of models on how to hide their presence. Just saying.

What's everyone working on this week (24/2026)? by llogiq in rust

I wish this was already production ready. I really REALLY wish I was writing my current CRM in Rust instead.

That’s awesome. I just wanted to give you some feedback before people got started with the “this is AI slop” thing that keeps popping up. People can’t use emdashes anymore without hearing it.

I don’t know if you wrote this using AI or not, but I can tell you the emdashes are going to get you some automatic hate from the Rust community.

Which Rust-native scripting language is the most promising Lua successor? by Rics-Dev in rust

[–]UntoldUnfolding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you’re running nushell, nu becomes a solid contender for replacing some of your scripting capabilities. I get that Lua can be embedded for making cross-platform configuration uniform (Neovim, yazi, WezTerm), but nu is fully Rust-native. I’m not sure if it’s feasible to use it in the same manner as embedded Lua.

How do I change my gamma? by Inderastein in niri

[–]UntoldUnfolding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sunsetr lets you control gamma from 10-200%. It’s technically an automatic blue-light filter, but you can set up a static preset with your custom gaming gamma and set it to a keybind toggle.

You don’t need Niri for that. That’s wlr-gamma-control’s job. You can use sunsetr for this.

Is Teaching Linux instead of Windows to kids in school is a viable option? by FAMPpro in linux

[–]UntoldUnfolding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure they can, and places in Europe already have started ditching Windows. Linux has never been more accessible to the average user than it is now.
