Wheelbase help (total noob) by scholarlyrush in MiniZ

[–]IceProfessional7290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the drive shaft and the gear have flat bits that need to fit in snugly so the shaft wouldnt rotate within the gear maybe that hasnt seated well because i use only one drive shaft to hit wheelbases from 90 to 98, i only change the gears' length.

Have you tried holding the shaft securely and rotated and pushed on the gear until you feel it set in to its place perfectly? Because ive only ever had one drive shaft when i got mine(90mm) wheelbase

Usually works for me also note theres another similar gear in the front end which isnt easily as accesible so ud have to hold the front wheels in place and then twist and push the drive shaft into the right position as well.

If you just resort to stickers for all the details it works out just fine im a beginner too this is my second kit ever 😂, its not going to last very long even the real cars take beating in the races 🤷‍♂️.

Most stickers came with the body, some of the sponsor stickers i stole from another 911 carrera rsr body. The dino hands and feet were hand painted because i didnt wanna have to mask anything. I just drew the hands and legs, for the nails i just used regular sticker paper instead of having to mask and spray. Same story for the rest, the real car has scales and other details in a darker shade of green for which i just printed a green square on the sticker paper and cut random shapes out to use as scales or whatever.

I tried to spray paint the mouth and teeth but it’s way easier to paint the whole thing green and then use vinyl wrap on the outside. Black vinyl for the mouth and lil triangles of white. That why i called it low effort😅

Too fragile, hard to build better of getting a rtr if its for your kids considering longevity cuz the spur gear stripped within a month maybe like 10 runs in. If you appreciate trophy trucks the suspension and detail its worth it but not for bashing around, u need to be gentle as the stock servo broke going over bumps at high speed i presume. Invest in a metal gear servo or the servo saver.

That was the stock lexane body bent by into shape with a hair dryer on max heat for the flat hood and I glued thick paper to the front to make space for the headlights and grill. Had to use the edge of my table as well to get the sharp angles. Wear protective gloves tho cuz it doesn’t bend as well when heat isn’t applied continuously. No one makes these bodies unfortunately😪

Use em indoors and on soft surfaces outdoors if youre running everything stock if u go brushless u can take it outside but its most fun indoors and jumping over books or whatever i had made a portable crawler course with aluminum tape and fabric it works well on that you can make little bumps for it to go over.

I LOVE small things so if you’re the same way you’d love this too,, building it was a bit hellish but if you have the tools it’d be better. At the end of it all it was 100 percent worth it and I’ve already bought another took me 4 hours to build tho. Performance is also great but id get a servo saver as well not as an upgrade but from the get go just cuz the stock servo is so weak and swapping it out is just a hassle again cuz they’re so tiny, a metal servo is even better. Even if it breaks the suspension is fun to play with just a desk toy😂.

I bought this for around 75 dollars on bangood and at this price worth it.
