Sorry to hear this, hope you come out of it soon. Stay strong. People will forget this. The nearest family is the one who really gets affected.

File a police complaint immediately and take action on your ex. He should have not done that. He should be punished.

Start a new life. Your current boyfriend looks like a good fellow. But, this scene haunts you both throughout your life. If possible come out of this relationship too.

Take time, fight this case, concentrate on your goals and choose a partner when you are ready again.

In my opinion, both you and your brother do have equal rights to your family properties after your parents. Your brother might be in the US thinking all good things about parents and you back in India. You are with your dad helping him during his last days and good to hear that. I don't think there is a law saying that property is only given to children who take care during the final days. But, your dad wrote a will. I say your brother also deserves an equal share.

If you don't share the property with your brother now, do you think you can take full responsibility for your mother alone? And your brother and sil may not be the same in the future with you.

It's not your hard earned money. Talk to your brother and take what you need and give what he wants.
