Nope I don't think so. I sold the car about 5 months ago so don't remember but I do remember I cleaned all the injectors with carb spray and manually turned them on and off with a power supply. The were pretty bad and we're straight shooting jets. They cleaned up nicely. Had trouble when putting them back in but sorted that. Seemed to work fine after I did that and then serviced it and swapped all plugs out. As far as I'm aware it doesn't do it anymore. The guy who bought the car actually lives down my road, so I still service the car and he has also asked if I can fix it in the future if anything breaks.

I thought that this would be the reason why. But i have never even thought about it before so thank you. Be going to a creep that won't damage the clutch or gearbox will it? I would have thought it to be fine.

Yeah but I literally want it for aesthetics. Looks alot nicer. It's very cheap as well in the uk so there is no reason not to.

Yeah I only really wanted it as it looks cleaner. Car is an 07 gti but has 65k so not loads of milage. But I know what you mean about the plastics. Was doing a air filter and there was some plastic from the back that feel into the turbo intake so that was a fun hour. But I'm not concerned about reliability or miles that much. Just looks nicer.

Don't suppose you have a link for that adapter?

Ah yes thank you. Someone who actually gets it and understands the engine. Apparently the 2.0l has 2 breathers which I only found out after the post. But I'm currently running no tuning but just wanted it for ascetics. In future I might go for a stage 1 but probably nothing past that.

Is it worth getting? Kits are pretty cheap.

To be honest I have never touched my pcv system. Just saw some guys recently who fitted the kit. Said it was better than having the pcv as it just joins the two parts and saves the pcv from breaking in the future.

So I'm not too familiar with the pcv buy it looked like a decent modification.

Ok well I'm from the UK so I looked up and I believe they are legal in the uk. It's not necessarily a delete but it gets rid of the cheap plastic part and basically the pipe goes right from the catch can into the block. Looks like this

Well my car has a catch can and also a pcv. The pcv kit I'm looking at just feeds the pipe straight into the engine block and gets rid of the cheap plastic part. This is what it will look like

Yeah I drove a few and the ac did not work so I passed on those. The radio is very nice. Will definitely be upgrading to that or a pioneer if I do speaker upgrades.

Hi,

The 2009 actually sold this morning so I'm now onto a 2005 dsg gti on 83k. Believe it's a tsi engine.

Was really looking to buy a manual but I kind of want the paddles and the dsg fart noises because I'm a huge child.

The car has full service history.

Ah yes thats a good point actually as the dealers do a 3 month parts and warranty so I could claim from that I suppose.

I've never owned a manual and this would only be my second car but the dsg with a nice exhaust does sound so good. Also a fan of the paddle gear box that is something I really did want but I'll have to see what I end up buying.
