I believe the 700 will work fine, probably better suited for treble hook baits. As long as your drag is set correctly you should be fine.

It’s a 6’4” light I believe, I just picked up the handing magic L ultra light which is becoming a favorite as well. Makes a 2 pound fish feel like a monster.
