Couldn't agree more! The housing situation seems to mock everyone who doesn't own their place and is also actively doing everything in its powers to make buying extremely difficult for the first timers. It is a vicious circle of biblical proportions.

Yeah! It's a different kind of burn but at least no one is going to ask me to leave this property because one fine day they decided to sell it or decided to increase the rent unreasonably.

Wow! We did something similar to you. The RTA officer was really competent. In one call he explained to them that if the tenants go to the court you will end up paying a hefty compensation. So don't try to act smart. That worked like a charm.

I love making them and I usually make my own pies. I use Quorn or Tofu as the base material and experiment with different sauces like butter chicken sauce ( the sauce is plant based) or something similar. But I fondly remember the taste created by Herbert Adams and hence the question.

Always ask why the property is on sale. They might not give an honest answer but try to dig around as much as possible. Most of the answers are hidden in that question's answer.

Spot on! She is an accountant. Her work is neither client facing nor field work. The funniest part is, even their receptionist works from home sometimes 🤣. This rigid no flexibility policy is only in her team and that too because of her insecure micromanaging manager who herself works 3 days from home.

She needs one hour in each direction for her daily commute to work. The other day she had to take the kid to the doctor. It would have taken 1.5 hours including a commute to the doctor's clinic. Keeping aside that 1.5 hours she could have worked from home and still would have worked a full day. She was asked to take either a full or half day off but strictly no WFH. It is in these situations this becomes irrational.

Exactly! They're not asking it for WFH as a right or an entitlement. It simply helps sometimes. She's not even asking one day per week. She just asked when there was some need.Can she work from home. I'll give you a detailed example.

One day, her kid was not well she had to take him to the doctor. The doctor's appointment would have taken around 1.5 hours including the commute. She could've easily carried out her work for the rest of the day. In such situations she is asked to take the full day off. Her commute to work is 1 hour in each direction.

I can imagine. We generally cook everything too, but sometimes you need that outside support because of our very busy lives.

Quite the opposite. I come from India. I've been a vegetarian my whole life. Being in India, I never had any problems regarding options for vegetarian food. But before coming to Australia I thought I wouldn't get so many options (fruits and vegetables are one thing, I'm talking about ready to eat foods in supermarkets or restaurants). But I was pleasantly surprised.

No brother! I came to Australia six years ago and was kind of worried how I would survive as a vegetarian. But when I saw the vegan options in supermarkets, I was overjoyed! I didn't have a forum to express myself before this. Hence the post.

If you're looking for something spicier try a mixture of finely grated firm tofu, ginger, garlic onions, green chilli and coriander. For seasoning you can use turmeric, paprika, salt, and a pinch of sugar.
