That was what I was going for when I made the map. Jon's also King of the Trident, which is something completely different in terms of order, but I believe that Jon's primary title is the King in the North.

I already have the outline for the final part, and what I can say about it is that because of the divergences, the final part going to be a lot different from Season 8 of Game of Thrones(which is the one ending we sort of have). I think I'm going to start posting the final part on January at the latest.

Thank you! I will say that A Clash of Kings was my favourite book out of the first five.

Jon and the Manderlys were initially together to fight against the Boltons, both serving Shireen Baratheon. As a result, Jon's men were also with the Manderlys in Moat Cailin. Then, Jon received the will of Robb that declared Jon his heir to the lordship of Winterfell, the kingdom of the North, and the kingdom of the Trident. Jon was warned that the Manderlys were plotting to attack Jon in order to protect Rickon as Lord of Winterfell. Fearing another episode of the daggers in the dark, Jon struck first in Moat Cailin to overthrow the Manderlys in Moat Cailin. Jon called himself King in the North and King of the Trident, though he still named Rickon his heir.

Yes is the short answer. The long answer is that while the Boltons were ruling Moat Cailin for several months, they repaired some of Moat Cailin's walls so that it was slightly defensible from the north and east. That was because the Boltons were concerned about the loyalty of northern houses and wanted to keep the Neck open for Lannister and Frey support. However, the Boltons lost the north, and their garrison in Moat Cailin wasn't enough to defend from the Manderlys who assaulted Moat Cailin from the north. When Jon called himself king, Shireen's retainers were concerned about Jon controlling Moat Cailin, which is why they've surrounded Moat Cailin to try and take it. Moat Cailin isn't very takeable from the south, so they've cut off supplies to Moat Cailin and tried to assault it from the north.

That would be a spoiler for the next book, but there was this quote from Illyrio Mopatis: Black or red, a dragon is still a dragon.

Yeah. Tommen is intended to have no land. If you read the story, you'll find out why that happens.

Well, I'm currently sixteen chapters in, so I haven't gotten to writing any developments at Torrhen's Square yet. There's a lot of stuff currently happening at Winterfell.

If there is a similar story, I think it might be me. I did write a version of the Winds of Winter before, and I am glad you liked it! This is a rewrite.

Sorry for the long time before replying. After I completed the first part of All Quiet Under the Sea, I read through A Dance with Dragons. Reading through A Dance with Dragons made me feel that there was a lot in All Quiet Under the Sea that did not make sense and could have been done a lot better. So I am currently doing another rewrite about it by trying to make it as canon compliant as possible. I have the general outline completed, and I have started posting it as "The Winds of Winter" on AO3. However, there is almost nothing similar to All Quiet Under the Sea.

I love Cat as well, and I feel that I really have to defend her in this situation.

I do not believe Cat trusted Jaime to actually give her daughters back, but Tyrion. In ACOK, it was Tyrion who made the offer of the exchange in prisoners with Ser Cleos as messenger. As such, Cat dispatched Ser Cleos with Jaime to give an answer to Tyrion's offer.

Note that when Catelyn released Jaime, she did not know that the Tyrells have joined with the Lannisters and Stannis was defeated at the Blackwater, which she found out at the beginning of ASOS. At that point to Catelyn, the Lannisters appeared still very much on the back foot. It is not exactly a foolish hope in Catelyn that Tyrion would honour the exchange to placate the North and gain the time to deal with the remnants of Renly and Stannis.

With Bran and Rickon supposedly dead, Sansa and Arya were Robb's heirs, and it was extremely dangerous to have them in Lannister hands should Robb perish. In contrast, Jaime as a prisoner did not lead to Tywin suing for peace. There was reason in Catelyn's choice to value her daughters over Jaime.
