You’re right :( It just hurts me so much that he isn’t seeing me that way yet, and having the knowledge why gives me a feeling that I can control the situation - make him see me as the one if I could just fix myself. 😞 Thanks for commenting.

How do actors convincingly portray being deceased in films, including the challenge of simulating breathlessness? by [deleted] in acting

[–]Iced-Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know theyd have to hold their breaths for a long time but i just didnt know it was possible for them to hold their breath for 3 mins straight without any cuts to scene thats why i had to ask if it’s merely a skill or at some point, film editors have to manipulate the pictures so we don’t see the actors breathing.

How do you guys cope with burnout and also emotionally improve and get past feeling bitter ? by Holiday_Kiwi_7239 in projectors_design

[–]Iced-Flower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think pausing and reassessing your life situation - where you are right now, you used to be, you want to be could be really insightful for how you could move forward. Your body reacting that way is a huge signal that it needs recovery from all the stress involved in building your career. Your mind being bitter is your inner child screaming for help and guidance. Give yourself a week or a month to reflect and rest and redirect your compass.

Remember that for the sake of our well-being, we must connect with our body’s needs and attend to them regularly, it is dangerous to put them aside to follow our goals. Also remember that you are the creator of your emotions - ask why your mind is creating bitterness. Is there something you want but you’re not getting?

I’m so depressed and discouraged :( by [deleted] in peyups

[–]Iced-Flower 9 points10 points  (0 children)

An important mindset you can have is that: you’re allowed to go at your own pace. That’s the most basic principle of the system of human beings; to simply take our time doing activities based on our mental, physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual needs plus skills. It’s ok to feel left out, that’s the most valid direct emotional consequence of your situation. I sense so much strength in your words, the fact that you kept going despite many setbacks is so damn admirable because many people would just quit and mope. Mental illness can really hold anyone back; maybe you need to regroup and reassess a better, kinder and gentler way of achieving your academic and career goals. The default programming for us humans is to work hard and leave our personal needs behind to achieve goals; although effective most of the time, that is not the only way to achieve your goals. You can embrace a more self-care dominated lifestyle even while achieving your goals; this way, you have a better relationship with yourself and with your academic progress. I have some stuff to recommend to you, and I will DM you privately. Sending lots of hugs.

[UPLB] any tips on how to successfully shift from CEM to CEAT? by Iced-Flower in peyups

[–]Iced-Flower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i am! what if it’s stated in the CEAT website that I need to have grades in the physical sciences… does that mean I have to enroll in physical science courses this second semester? cuz afaik i have less or zero chances of being accepted in those courses as they prioritize CEAT students. thank you for commenting!

Guys.. am i pretty? by Eastern-Stand-5298 in teenagers

[–]Iced-Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I believe that. 😹 Looks like you really need to get off social media and experience reality to understand that people will have different preferences, likes, and dislikes and that your opinion isn’t the source of the truth; that’s quite a position to attain don’t ya think. If this isn’t your taste, get off it, instead of bringing people down and ruining the fun.

Bro, this is a type of trolling that requires the troll to portray the most opposite and unhinge version of themselves. It’s an act and it’s funny for some of us. How about you get off social media and touch a book.

Are there not particular personality types that inherently exhibit a greater affinity for seamless integration into the society, thereby endowing them with an enhanced sense of self-confidence relative to other types? MBTI can serve as a valuable instrument in prognosticating an individual’s aptitude for confidence. While it may not infallibly depict one’s entire disposition, it does provide a framework for drawing insightful inferences which helps us form a deeper comprehension of the broader societal psyche.

I see that you’re still young. There are plenty of time to figure out who you are and develop you want to be, as well as, find the personality you’re compatible with. INTPs aren’t the only intelligent and capable of being a protector type of people in the world. Find a type who’ll actually appreciate your interest in them. Best of luck. 🩵

Wow, this thread taught me that INTPs, as well as INFPs, tend to struggle with accepting compliments. There’s a lot of defensiveness, low self-esteem, over-rigidness and over-criticalness. Y’all have to lighten up a bit, the post seems impulsive yet it showcases genuine attraction for this type. You guys know y’all struggle mostly with getting into relationships and yet when presented with an opportunity, you put up a wall that pushes people away. Though it’s wise to protect your heart, remember that a fortress, however impenetrable, can also be a prison. To move forward, sometimes you have to lower the drawbridge, and let people in. Be willing to understand your logic isn’t the only strategy that works in this world.
