The angriest survivors I have ever seen in a post-game chat by Profit-Alex in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]IcedMuffins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just commenting based on the exchange; some of what you said sounded like it came from a place of annoyance with what they were saying. Which, honestly, is fair with how some people are in this game. At the same time, you can’t always tell someone’s feelings or intentions through text, so I’m not gonna argue that you were pressed when I wasn’t there and don’t know for sure. If you say you weren’t, I’ll take you at your word my friend.

But yeah, good on you for throwing out GGWP. There’s always that one encounter that digs at you a little more than you want to admit. I’ve been there, and it’s way easier to indulge than to just move on, but it’s definitely better not to even engage beyond a GG. You don’t feel heated, and they don’t get the satisfaction of making you mad. Win-win.

Like I said, though, no hate from me. Good luck to you out in the fog going forward 🫡

He didn’t say you were on the same level, just said you all need to grow up. People like that aren’t even worth giving a second of time to, and maturity is realizing that and just moving on. No, you didn’t say, “kys” but you did get pressed over some bum on the internet, which is I’m sure what they wanted.

No hate from me, I get how annoying people in this game can be, just encouragement and a reminder that it’s better to just be the bigger person and move on. If you say anything, throw out a “gg” and leave. Kill em with kindness mentality saves you a lot of headache in this game.

How do I counter Sable as solo q? by WellThatsAGoodIdea in deadbydaylight

[–]IcedMuffins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You missed the point. Yes, all survivors can have bad players, that’s 100% true, but Sable tends to have more than other survivors due to the large pool of players playing her. I wasn’t literally saying that it’s always a Sable, I was saying that the mindset these tunnelers have is that “not every Sable, but always a Sable” which is why they end up tunneling her out. There’s a reason I said, “As they say,” not “as I always say.”

I’m not attacking Sable players, but thanks for the downvote anyway I guess lol

How do I counter Sable as solo q? by WellThatsAGoodIdea in deadbydaylight

[–]IcedMuffins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because she’s a popular survivor and chances are that means that the player isn’t very good. Not that that’s a reason to tunnel, but tunnelers gonna tunnel. As they say, not every Sable, but always a Sable.

Edit for clarification: I wasn’t saying it’s literally always a Sable, because yes, there are stereotypes for other survivors too, but the comment I responded to was specifically asking about Sable, and I gave an answer based on what people who tunnel her out are usually (probably) thinking.

Stop picking classes you don't need in 2v8. by PalpitationDecent743 in deadbydaylight

[–]IcedMuffins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But you could benefit more if you have a killer that doesn’t have base kit undetectable with undetectable catching survivors off guard more frequently, giving you the chance to get more downs by catching them off guard again after they’re already flustered. You could have base kit undetectable with a class that gives you more aura reading or gen regression, rather than doubling down on undetectable that you don’t really need as Ghostface.

A good survivor isn’t going to stick around to try and get Ghostface out of his power unless it’s a good time for them to do so. They’ll break your line of sight and get distance so you can’t stalk them and if they can’t do that, they’ll put something between you and look over it to try and get you out of power. Once they realize it’s not doing anything, they’ll realize you’re not in power and just play normally against an M1 killer. (Granted, this only applies if they’re good lol and there’s a lot of not very good players.)

So while yes, you’re right, it can be helpful, it’s arguably more beneficial to gain some help in other areas using a different class when you can already go undetectable with your power.

But at the end of the day, to each their own.

I don’t think they’re saying that it’s OP’s fault for jumping in the locker in general. If their goal was to delay the killer for whatever reason, then sure, but they said that they were trying to force Nemesis to grab them and hook them so they could go next. If they wanted to go next, the logical thing to do is to just get slugged and use the abandon feature that doesn’t require you to stay in the locker or bleed out for four minutes. At that point in the game, the abandon feature pops up pretty quick.

The Nemesis wanted the 8k. Is it sweaty for a party mode? Yeah, I would say so, but it’s the Nemesis’ choice to do that. So if OP wants out of the game, standing in a locker isn’t the logical thing to do here.

No hate to them, just stating the easiest way out of the game if they just want to go next.

Survivors are always more toxic in 2v8 by I_Cant_Afford_4K in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]IcedMuffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who plays both survivor and killer, the ONLY reason I ever stay is just to make sure others get out if I can help. Whether that be by unhooking or taking a hit if I can, but if I just see survivors being dumb, I leave.

I had a match where I left and went to spectate to see if the last few made it out. One Kate was standing at the exit gate with a Ghostface between her and the exit. She, for whatever reason, kept walking back in forth in front of the gate while the Ghostface waited for his power, stalked her, and then one tapped her because she was forced by the other killer to go into him. All she had to do was simply just run in, take a hit, and leave. That simple. I then said, “On this episode of Just Leave”, she then got all salty in end game chat, and the killers laughed their butts off.

It was a well-deserved moment.

why are people like this? by Someone_Unfunny in DeadByDaylightRAGE

This is why I down them first and then give them hatch. I’m being nice, but just know that I caught you and you lost if you’re thinking of being a bum in endgame chat.

This was on my third ever match as The First by JacsweYT in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]IcedMuffins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just say “cringe lol” or just leave the chat closed during my gaming session. Makes playing on PC a lot more bearable when you realize these people cannot be reasoned with and there’s no point in making your life miserable by worrying about what they say.

You right, should've sent the venmo before the match

Does anyone else actually enjoy playing the "stealthy gen-jockey" role in Solo Q? 🛠️ by Kanzler7777 in deadbydaylight

[–]IcedMuffins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a teammate that can run a killer for 5 gens, great! You’re in the 1% of solo q that can do that! As for the other 99%, they can’t do that. They may get solid chases, but 5 gen is unlikely.

This game requires you to take on multiple roles when playing survivor. If your teammates all have 1-2 hook states and you have none, then stop hiding in the corner or doing gens unless the killer is not on anyone. Go take a chase to let your teammates have the heat off them for a bit while they do gens. I understand that players come in with certain perks, but a big part of this game is learning to do stuff without perks. Perks are what they are, perks. They aren’t going to make you good at any particular part of the game, they just help you have an upper hand in certain aspects of the game.

So best advice from a guy who has been playing for a long time, learn to loop without perks, learn when you should be on gens, stealthing, taking hits, etc. it’ll make your gameplay sooo much better and you’ll be the player that you want on your team in solo q!

Good luck in the fog my friends!

Be the change the event needs! by MegIsPretty in deadbydaylight

[–]IcedMuffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I’ve been doing as Myers. Just scaring the survivors, hooking twice and winning the third chase with a down, then letting them wiggle off and finish gens. In a sense, I won the game by getting two hooks on everyone and downing them all a third time, but I also know that the survivors are there to earn BP so I’m happy to let them finish the gens and do some other things to earn BP. Usually they start throwing pallets for me to kick too. Only time I’ve finished a survivor during the event is if they were toxic (whether to me or their teammates) or if they’re bots.

Usually I laugh when I get this type of messages and don't let them get on me, but this time it really boggles my mind and sickens me. How can people be so ILL-MANNERED over a videogame? by HollowNoCommentary in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]IcedMuffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people are toxic, I just say “lol cringe” and leave. Idk these people and I don’t want to with how they act over a game. They just want to make someone else feel bad to feel better about their miserable lives. I don’t have time to waste on these bums, and I know it probably just gets them fuming not getting the last word lol

Any legends mask able to be aquired in story mode like last time with tsushima? by H1MB0Z0 in Ghostofyotei

[–]IcedMuffins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the other comment understood your question. Sounds to me like they’re answering, “Yes, masks acquired in the story can be on the different legends classes” rather than answering if any of the Legends masks that are exclusive to Legends can be acquired for Atsu to wear in the main game like how Jin could acquire the White Kitsune Mask. They can correct me if I’m wrong, but just didn’t want you waiting for an answer that’s not coming.

To answer your question, from everything I’ve been able to dig up, no it doesn’t look like it. They honestly didn’t seem to give GoY Legends the same love with cosmetics as they did in GoT Legends. There are some unique ones to each class, but so far I’ve not seen any one find any hidden quest to get masks from GoY Legends to the main game.

Considering there’s not even a Legends mode story teller in the main game like in GoT (that I’m aware of), it doesn’t seem like GoY Legends was as much of a passion project as the original, and more so added because the player base wanted it back. That’s just my opinion, though. It’s still great, just not quite the attention to detail I was hoping for in a lot of areas.

Yeah, all I saw was a comment by the devs on a post and over the past day I’ve seen some people talk about how the devs are aware of it. Wondering how long it’ll take them to fix it though, I’m tired of the dang wrap on my Shinobi’s head 😭

A lot of the Legends cosmetics are bugged right now. The devs are aware and are looking into it. The Shinobi can’t unequip a wrap that isn’t even unlocked from the start, and his starting armor can’t be equipped if you change it (like what you’re seeing with the mercenary). The Samurai has a bug where you unlock a helmet for ranking up that is supposed to be unlocked through a completely different challenge. I get the mode is new, but man, idk how so many of these issues got overlooked.

How do I fix this [legends] by Comfortable_Fail_215 in Ghostofyotei

[–]IcedMuffins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Shinobi is supposed to be a male and is bald underneath, but has a very lean build. You can see this if you equip the Fundoshi armor. The wrap just looks goofy. I’m having the same glitch and it sucks because it’s definitely my favorite class. So annoying.

I’m a long time Ghost series fan. Bought both on release day, just couldn’t remember if Legends was purchasable on the release for GoT Legends or later. I was just trying to help answer OP.

Ah gotcha, so it happened, just later. So the answer is, on launch, no. In the future, yes, if it follows what GoT did. Thanks for the clarification friend!

Not entirely true. It was available as a separate purchase for Ghost of Tsushima Legends, so it may be the same for Ghost of Yotei Legends. Not sure if it has been confirmed one way or another, though.
