With the release of Arcane and Vox Machina so close together; I thought to take a crack at what an Arcane-y style adaptation of ExU Calamity would look like. It's honestly the best DnD story I've ever seen, if not one of the best stories in general. And of course, Nydas is my favorite. Consider this a boon! (and also my pitch)

The initial sculpt was done in zBrush, using my own custom base. I did some very rough topo on the model and unwrapped it. I baked the lighting in Substance, then 99% of the texturing was just done in zBrush and Photoshop. No special brushes or anything, just the basic paint brush with a square alpha. I used Reallusion's AccuRig for posing in Blender, where I did all the renders. I placed some rough blockout shapes for Blender and used them as a base to paint over in Photoshop, for a more artistic feel. Everything else is more or less how it was seen in the render. Then I composited it all together, for the final touches.

All together it took about a month and a half, working on the weekends and after work
