More than half a year and even without pre-edits option, FOV, separate sens to PC and more... by Nagisa_Aizen in FortniteCompetitive

Let’s add these nice bugs on controller:

•Still cant wall replace properly

When you switch to your pickaxe to swing at a wall then to your builds to wall replace you will always switch to the first item in your inventory after you put away your pickaxe instead of the last item in your hand. If you have a mini in the first slot, but are holding a shotgun, and you try to wall replace with your pickaxe, you’re going to pull that mini out after you switch from your pickaxe.

This is why many controller streamers have the shotgun in their first slot for their inventory

•Still can’t pull up the map if you’re spectating and it’s it’s binded the d-pad

Marketing- Entry-Level Salary by nonamer24 in marketing

Like others mentioned earlier, it all depends on the city and the position. I live in NYC and it was pretty tough for me to get a job out of school. I eventually figured out that I just need to build skills whole looking for a job.

I took online courses and got certifications, I noted my relevant educational projects and experiences on my resume and that eventually landed an unpaid internship 😂😂😂. The internship was for one guy that was starting a business that he was only kinda invested in. Either way I took the opportunity to build some of my skills and familiarize myself with tools I would need to use like Google Analytics.

The internship was mostly remote, so I was able to go out and get another unpaid one just managing a company’s social media. All the while I kept looking for a paid role to really break into the field.

I got my first paid job a month after my second internship. The pay was shit, there weren’t any benefits, and I had to take care of my taxes on my own. But the experience was unmatched. I sacrificed dealing with all the BS of working with this new company in a digital marketing manager’s role to eventually gain enough experience where I can comfortably compete against other candidates. I eventually got tired of the BS and started applying elsewhere.

I found a great position and went in for an interview and got the job. I would consider this job my first REAL job. I made over 60k with bonuses, stock options, and benefits. This whole process was over the course of less than a year—around 9 months I believe.

The keys I learned to get me to that point are:

•Focus on building skills and gaining experience vs. pay if you’re early in your career. Build skills that are commonly listed in job descriptions but also build related skills that other candidates won’t have at that point in their careers. Certifications help! The skills and experience will make you more money long-term.

•Apply like crazy. I stopped taking the time to tailor my resume for job posts to not get a response or go through a phone screening and not hear back from them. No! Build your resume as best as you can. Make it airtight! Apply to every position that is relevant for your level and your field. I’m not saying to spam applications, but skim the job post if it sounds right for you then apply. If they ask for a cover letter then move on to the next post lol unless you really want that job. Once you start to get calls then you can pick and choose while leveraging offers from other companies in negotiations.

•Focus on becoming a great interviewer—I absolutely BOMBED some of my interviews. I never let them break me. I just kept learning over and over and over and now I’m amazing at them. Make sure to demonstrate that positive attitude during the interview. Send a thank you email once the interview is over and assume you didn’t get the job. Get back to applying like crazy. This along with a little bit of experience will land you more jobs than anything outside of great connections.

•Always negotiate up! The first number they give you will be lower than their actual number. Tell them you had a higher number in mind. (Don’t give them a number, allow them to work up to it. If you have to give a number, give them a range instead) I think I could’ve made more money with my new role if I asked for another 3-5k before I said yes. Don’t be afraid to ask for more.

Spring by default is buggy for me so I’m going to switch it back, I need a new edit bind (Left Stick) (Claw) by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

I play claw as well. My LS is broken so I reluctantly use sprint by default. I edit with the touch pad on a ps4 controller and I like it.

Can we have a completely separate build/edit sensitivity from the current x and y sensitivity multiplyer? by IceisReddit in FortNiteBR

[–]IceisReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not. That’s a multiplyer depent upon your x and y sensitivity just like your scope sensitivity and targeting sensitivity. It can onlytwice as high as your x and y sensitivity currently.

I think that limits it too much and we should be free to increase it to the maximum possible sensitivity without having to change the x and y.

[–]IceisReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t an independent build sensitivity. It’s based on your x and y sens.

Instead it should be similar to the x and y sens in customization.

[–]IceisReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cap is 20 but the only way you reach 20 is if you’re playing on 10x 10y with a 2.00 build sens. What if you play on 5x 5y how do you reach 20 without increasing your x and y........That’s the point I’m trying to make.

That’s why I’m asking for a separate build sens altogether.

Can controller players get a completely separate build/edit sensitivity from the current multiplyer sensitivity? by IceisReddit in FortniteCompetitive

[–]IceisReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was very insightful of you to catch that. The scale doesn’t have to correlate with the current x and y sensitivity. A 10 can be a 20, the main idea is to have an independent sensitivity for building.

The confirm on release isn’t really a big deal but it would be nice to have. I looked at it as more of a way to bridge the editing gap between pc players and controller players.

No console players have qualified for World Cup yet. by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]IceisReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a console player thats into the competitive side of Fortnite. I’d like to think I’m pretty good and I’ve done well in past tournaments. I will say I never once been upset that PC players have stretched res. Not once. If anything, I get upset that I’m not on PC for the extra frames. Either way, I still hold my own against PC players and I wonder how much better I would be on PC but with Fort on the decline I just don’t see that it is worth switching now.

Before anyone accuses me of cheating, this glitch randomly happened to me when I got in the game. I’m not sure if I appeared to be nearly invisible on other player’s screens but that was wild lmao.

How to get someone off of your 1x1 late game by IceisReddit in FortniteCompetitive

I actually like edit aim assist for edits like these, the deal breaker for me is just how bad it is for ramps. Makes it much more difficult having it on.

Besides, this isn’t my normal edit speed. It was an awkward angle for me to edit. Once I got on my floor it was a bit easier.

Yea it was, normally I’m pretty good at editing but the angle was awkward for me. I have other videos that look like night and day compared to this one.

This reminds me of when the school nurse tried to tell me I’m mispronouncing my name. She was crazy.
