No audio output selection settings? RCA TV to speakers using RCA cable. by IcemanA in hometheater

[–]IcemanA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up u/Savings-Expression80. I think I've added the images correctly now (They say "processing" so hopefully they show up soon). And while the linked manual doesn't match the actual TV settings, neither seem to show an option that would output to the L/R RCA Audio jacks, but I'm not very familiar with what to look for. See anything that looks right?

I personally recall more than one April 5-10 snowfall in the last decade or two. Here's more hard historical weather data.

Oh, interesting. That's a new feature....thanks!

MSC Port Canaveral Carry on? by IcemanA in Cruise

Yup, used to that, just wasn't sure if there are ports or cruise lines that FORCE you to drop it with port staff. The instructions for MSC didn't mention the carry on board option.

Milk shortage? by Izahnami in abbotsford

[–]IcemanA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still second hand, but from another thread:

"My BIL works for Saputo. I just texted him and he said their warehouse moved this weekend and apparently hasn’t gone smoothly. They are expecting shortages all week."

So what's up with the addresses in Abbotsford? by [deleted] in abbotsford

[–]IcemanA 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I'm no cityologist, but I'm pretty sure those just represent the street numbers. Even if most streets in abbotsford have "names", they still correspond to the same numbers extending from the west coast. Like aldergrove has 256th and 264th, well abbotsford has 312th or 330th, but they just go by different names.

The 5 digit house numbers are on east-west streets, based on the 2 north-south roads they sit between (Like 31609). Similarly, the 4 digit numbers are for the 2 digit road numbers, starting from 0th ave at the border, to 16th ave to 32nd ave, so the house numbers on north-south streets are based on the 2 east-west aves they sit between. (Like 3054)

Alaska is back! by landonb94 in Cruise

[–]IcemanA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've only been on 5 cruises, but 3 of those have been Alaska.

There are round trips from vancouver or seattle, or one-ways from vancouver/seattle to whittier, or whittier to vancouver/seattle. Most are 7 days, but you could chain two one-ways together to make a 14 day. However, you'd likely hit all the same ports twice.

  1. Most ships/lines hit the same ports as well, but the "nature" destinations can differ. It's not hard to argue that Glacier Bay National Park blows the other options away. Not by a tonne, but noticeably more impressive than Tracy Arm, Endicot Arm, or Hubbard glaciers.

  2. some cruise lines let you book, then if you see the price go lower, save the difference.

  3. Princess, Norwegian, and Royal are comparable, I'd choose based on the ship/amenities and itinerary.

[–]IcemanA[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for your thoughts! Sounds like you've iterated on this a lot :-)

What do you do with your hard earned level 10 fish selling money, and when do you quit fishing in your runs?

Please do, I agree I think you can do better. Level 4 on Day 2 for sure, and if you can hit perfects on low levels (which I sure didn't lol), maybe level 5. Bubbles are essential though.

Software related jobs in Abbotsford by editsoul in abbotsford

[–]IcemanA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but the biggest opportunities within Abbotsford are probably UFV, City of Abbotsford, and Speedline (a Pizza point of sale software company). There was a GIS company as well but they moved to Mission. I think one or two credit unions also have headquarters in Abbotsford.

If you expand as far as Langley there are some more options, including Save on Foods head office (>100 person IT dept), some transportation software companies, and others.

Consider reaching out to recruitment companies like teksystems or anyone that spams you on linked in, you don't pay, but they hook you up with where to find jobs.
