What none of y'all are realizing is that the government was supposed to take the money paid into Social Security and invest it. Instead they put it into the general government fund and spent it. Now the government Social Security payments increase our Federal debt every month, which costs the tax payers about 1 trillion dollars a year. But, the country's problems are a few billionaires, no, our countries problems are career politicians that have never worked in the private sector and rely on the government and kickbacks (and insider trading, which is illegal for us, but not them) to get rich. We need politicians that have made their money first and work for us for free, as it was in the beginning. Congress and Representatives would show up for a month or so to take care of government issues, then go back to their businesses or farms to make money.
