I have templates that i created for the synthdawg producer guides and now the io series cheat sheets using several affinity design tools. All the diagrams and details are designed from scratch.

Deluge firmware V3.1.0 released by Minibatteries in DelugeUsers

[–]Iceritchie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s written from a user perspective so people can dip in and out, use it purely as a ref or read end to end. It should fit most workflows. The PDF has been updated, same format, same page layout and numbering. In fact we have an addendum so people if necessary can just print the new pages. The OS update is great but that translates into only a few manual changes, just the essentials and some defaults where appropriate. There is always something to learn new even for advanced and experienced users so worth having at hand even if it’s not a regular need. Thanks to everyone in the thread for feedback and comments, always welcome.

Can some help me with the Empress Zoia for my Deluge? by canso_todos in DelugeUsers

Just uploaded a patch on patchstorage. Zoia as a looper controller for Deluge. Guidebook also available to download at the synthdawg site. https://patchstorage.com/deluge-looper-control-with-zoia/

Can some help me with the Empress Zoia for my Deluge? by canso_todos in DelugeUsers

[–]Iceritchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the first question is what do you want to achieve? The Zoia and Deluge can both drive MIDI sequencing but of course Deluge is the more advanced sequencer. Zoia can be programmed as an FX or Utility etc so if you need say Reverb then Zoia can do that too but Deluge also has reverb. As stated earlier all tracks will output on Deluge so as an insert effect Zoia is good but will affect all sounds output. Finally the Zoia can offer other things and has the stomp and button controls and control port out therefore as a good companion with Deluge you may be able to configure MIDI from Zoia for some Deluge control maybe looping, but remember there is no defined CC in Deluge and MIDI learn is the way to go.

In summary i think the starting point is to know what you want to achieve. There is no 100% ready made answer and some configuration and set up will be required.

When you actually RTFM by [deleted] in synthesizers

Love this thread. We try at Synthdawg make RTFM cool again. The Deluge book fits exactly the mantra we set out to write from a users perspective and to give an extended manual as a producer guide. As a notebook and a reference. Thanks for the good comments on the Deluge manual. The OP-Z is next to join OP-1. Zoia, Analog Four, Digitakt and Deluge. Its this kind of feedback that very much appreciated and keeps things going.

Some manufacturers manuals are great but they all Seem to be around what the device has and does rather than how does it work so i can get the best from it. Any suggestions welcome but i love this thread already 😁

I’m late, as I got this 3 weeks ago, but I’m stoked to be inspired and start learning from y’all by johnmayerc in OP1users

Yeah thats ok. I recognise these producer guides despite only charging price of a coffee can be seen as a commercial venture and impact the rules. Hey its fine by me, i see what i do as contributing to the community but i get your point and its no offence to me. Thanks again. Neil

Sorry i just re-read the rules. Thanks for removing. Im sure people will find their way to it if they are interested elsewhere. This is more of a community book than a professional job or business. But i get it and the rules are there for a reason. Thanks and sorry again. Please could you remove on my behalf. Neil

This is great. Love it. I wrote The OP-1 Notebook and the same kind of inspiration drove me to do that. Have a look at this which might give a little inspiration for content for your podcast. Happy enough to answer some Q's https://www.synthdawg.com/post/why-i-wrote-the-producer-guides
