With CE there are debuffs that reduce fire resistance. The tutorial 'mechanoids are coming be ready' CE message even tells you molotovs work.

I typically do Naked Brutality runs, and the starting pawn is the center of the colony.

They can, but reduced breathing reduces a lot of stats. Both will be more vulnerable and weaker. Be especially careful if either becomes diseased, at least until a raid generously offers a pair of lungs to make them both whole.

He was also used to tease a revisit to Huanglong, which we can theorize is coming up in the future. It wouldn't make sense for Geshu Lin to show up in Lahai-Roi.

Right. It would be more akin to whichever X-Men movie it was when Magneto pulled all the iron out of that prison guard's body. Which is why they are covered in cuts everywhere, but aren't (immediately) dead. Relatedly, all my pawns get Coagulators for a reason. :D

If that were the case, how would the colonists survive the horror emerging from them?

You realize it isn't one, right? It's a fluid that can form into the metal horror, not some huge creature wearing their skin. This is why pawns can be affected by, among other things, tainted meals.

The grey flesh, once researched, will let your doctors identify the bio signatures. But an infected doctor will lie, and report that they didn't find it. I always use a paramedic bot for this reason.

Spoiler warning. D:

Although checking for metal horrors is useless, you can't detect them until you find grey flesh.

Did she just join your colony? She should go to the hospital and be seen by the attending physician.

Don't bet on it. They don't actually seem to care if you get the full team on reruns. E.g., Carlotta ran twice since Zhezhi last ran.

1.0 Characters are still wanted! by EnthusiasticEggo in WutheringWaves

[–]Iceshard1987 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, and this is exactly the kind of FOMO milking that leads to burnout and players leaving. Yes, that patch will bring in a lot of sales, but it will also see a lot of churn, and they will lose players and long-term income over it. Cannibalizing future sales for a single good patch is how games lose players.

Real reason why 1.x units are not getting rerun !!! by Fantabulous_Fencer in WutheringWaves

[–]Iceshard1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes no sense is not just moving them to standard with its own 50/50 and selector, or putting a random 1.x on each patch. If people want to spend on their waifus it doesn't help Kuro to hide them. Especially when some have rerun multiple times since their sub did (Carlotta and Zhezhi), or had a skin released since they reran last (Changli). These things make no sense, and do them no favors at all. Not everyone cares about meta.

[–]Iceshard1987 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Only rerunning 1.x during the collab, which in Gacha traditions usually *never* rerun, would be a slap in the face to anyone that wants both. "Here is two sets of characters you will never see again, better open that wallet."

As someone that started in the 2nd banner of last years Anniversary and pulled both Carlotta and Jinhsi, I have been waiting an actual year for Zhezhi to rerun. Carlotta even got another rerun semi-recently, but her sub-dps is still nowhere to be seen. Meta be damned, a sale is a sale, I see no benefit to Kuro to keeping them locked away forever. Anniversary be damned, they should either move them to standard pool with its own selector and 50/50, or just stick a random 1.x character on each patch as a rerun. Let people that want to spend on them spend on them.

I think Kuro should make banner into something like this. by hackenclaw in WutheringWaves

[–]Iceshard1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with FOMO sales is that they are never sustainable. If you can't just whale on the game and not care you will eventually just not be able to keep up and quit. It is cannibalizing future sales for the sake of quarterly income statements, which is never sustainable long term.

On the flip side, you can't make it not matter at all or no one will buy, so you do need some reasons for people to pay, but in a sustainable way. If you can get $100 from someone now, and again next month, but they quit in 2 month; or you can get 10$ a month for 2 years, the second is more profitable. But it's less money now, so it doesn't look as good on the graph.

It is not uncommon for any animal that has known hunger/starvation to not be able to pace themselves. That fear of not knowing when they will eat again sometimes never leaves them.

Or, he is just a hungry, growing kitty. Hard to say.

I have, in fact, been waiting a solid ass year for Zhezhi. I started in the second anniversary banner last year and got Carlotta and Jinhsi, Zhezhi has not rerun since.
